The Cousin (Le cousin) is a 1997 French crime drama directed by Alain Corneau. "The Cousin" is a slang term for the police informer. Drug dealer, nicknamed Nounours (Patrick Timsit), is the police informer ("The Cousin" is a slang term for such informers) who works for a share of drugs, seized thanks to his help. His contact, inspector Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat), is under heavy pressure of Judge Anne Lambert (Marie Trintignant) who is in crusade against this illegal practices.
