Talk:Wild Geese II
Uh, you had better have screencaps for this page. A lot of us could have made this page long ago, what kept everyone from doing it was not having the DVD for screencapping purposes. Just listing the guns used is not up to IMFDB minimum standards, per the rules. If you do, then I look forward to seeing them. MoviePropMaster2008 17:57, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, just thought it was something you'd planned on doing as of your request here, the DVD has been out for months now so someone must have it. Is posting a link to the Trailer on You Tube against the rules?--The Mercenary 16:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Nope and as the way the page looks now, it's not up to IMFDB minimum standards. We usually DON'T create pages until we're ready to complete them. Part of the IMFDB rules states: That it is better to have NO pages than weak ones. Just listing a bare bones page doesn't make us look good. We are conteplating instituting a rule that you start a page, you should at least have the means to complete the page (or at least you should hold off making MORE pages until your earlier ones are done) in moderation of course. Of course, no one is bashing you, just pointing out the way that IMFDB is evolving :) And no, links don't have the same effect as a fully comprehensive and informative page. :) MoviePropMaster2008 02:47, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, can i suggest giving this 10 days and then deletion (and posting a notice on the page first of course) with maybe some sort of extra added to the Wild Geese page?--The Mercenary 18:25, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

New stuff
The M16A1 appears to be an MGC replica. And the sniper rifle appears to have double triggers. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:12, 4 February 2016 (EST)
- Thanks, I'll correct M16. Concerning the rifle:
the rear trigger appears to be a sort of safety, as the hunter presses it, then moves the finger to front trigger, pulls it, and the rifle fires.Greg-Z (talk) 15:25, 4 February 2016 (EST) Oh, now I understand how double set triggers work (thanks to Quigley Down Under). Greg-Z (talk) 15:57, 5 February 2016 (EST)- This rifle perfectly matches the screen gun, but there is a problem: it appears only on Willoughby McCabe & Co. website where it's called "Selig Model 98". I couldn't find any info about such manufacturer or model of gun, and the German word "Selig" means "blessed" or "overjoyed". So it's a kind of mystery, and I would be thankful for help. - Is not that the notorious Mauser 98 Sporter? --Slon95 (talk) 17:51, 5 February 2016 (EST)
- Really, it is. Greg-Z (talk) 04:14, 6 February 2016 (EST)
- Well done for finally completing what seemed to be the Holy Grail of the imfdb. --The Mercenary (talk) 15:01, 24 April 2016 (EDT)
