His Battalion (original title Ego batalyon) is a 1989 Soviet made for TV war drama directed by Aleksandr Karpov (Dolgie vyorsty voyny) and based on the novel by Vasil Bykov. It depicts one day of Capt. Nikolai Voloshin, a commander of infantry battalion.

German soldiers are armed with MP40 SMGs. During the battle in German trenches Capt. Voloshin (Vitaly Zikora) arms himself with a captured MP40.
