Jackie Brown
The following guns were used in the film Jackie Brown:
In the first parts of the movie, Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson) shows a pre-recorded TV presentation of "Chicks Who Love Guns" to Louis Gara (Robert De Niro) being played on a TV.
The show features 4 guns in the following order :
TEC-DC9
A TEC-DC9 can be seen in the hands of Sidney. The information claims the gun uses a 32 round "clip" instead of the proper Magazine. When firing the gun, she's pretty much shooting the ground yet everything she aims at is destroyed.
Steyr AUG
A Steyr AUG-A1 can be seen in the hands of Cindy. She refers to it as an "Aug" instead of A-U-G.
AK-47
An AKM rifle ("chinese model") can be seen.
- It's my first post, just saw the movie .. please change it if i am wrong ;D. - Thorus
- I don't think it is a Chinese Model (The Norinco Type 56), it appears to be a Maadi ARM, the Egyptian AKM, which is the image we use for genaric AKMs in films on this site. Good guess though. - Gunmaster45
- Its not really a guess, hehe - when Ordell is narrating* the show they see on TV, he mentions : "When you absolutely, positively, gotta kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitute. That there is the Chinese one. I pay eight-fifty and double my money."
And to me it also looks like the Norinco although I dunno really whats the difference to a "common" AK-47 ;D - Thorus
- This is not a Chinese AK, contrary to what Ordell says. The Norinco Type 56 is a lot like the original AK-47, except that most versions have the AKM-style stamped receiver and a full-circle front sight hood that is unique to Chinese AKs. The weapon this chick's holding is an AKM, and most likely the Egyptian Maadi version, which was the model most commonly used in Hollywood movies. It doesn't have a hooded front sight (like Chinese AKs do), and it has a ribbed receiver cover, plastic pistol grip, laminated wood stock, grip rails, thinner front sight, and slant flash hider/muzzle break. In fact, if you watch the DVD, which has the full version of the "Chicks Who Love Guns" video, the girl even claims that it is IDed as a Chinese AK because of the "ribbing" on the receiver cover, which is factually incorrect - Chinese AKs retain the smooth receiver cover of the original AK-47. If you compare our AKM and Type 56 pictures, you will see the differences. -MT2008
Beretta PM12S
A Beretta M12 can be seen
Unknown sawed-off pump action shotgun
Ordell bends down into the trunk of a car and pulls out an (unknown) sawed-off(?) pump action shotgun Beaumont Livingston (Chris Tucker) shall use in a job in Koreatown - at least hes told doing so. Then Beaumont is lying in the trunk with the gun.
- It is a Mossberg 500 with ventilated barrel ribbing, and a sawed off stock and barrel. - Gunmaster45
- You missed the Mossberg 500 the last girl uses to accidentally shoot the camera man. - Gunmaster45
Smith & Wesson Model 64
"Inside the Oldsmobile, Ordell reaches in the glovebox and pulls out a "five-shot .38 snubby." That is what the script says. Its the gun he one minute later kills Beaumont with. To me it doesnt look like a snubby, but the Smith & Wesson Model 64. What do you think ?
- I don't think it is stainless, so it is likely a Model 10, which is the same gun in bluing. - Gunmaster45
Unknown pistol
Throughout the movie Ordell is using a pistol which is said to be a Beretta in the script. Checking all the Berettas saved here in the wiki, I think its not a Beretta as this gun has a very different nose. I would guess its a 9mm Star Model B that Samuel L. Jackson is also using in Pulp Fiction. What do you think ? Here are some pictures :
- It's an M1911A1, which is more like what Travolta was using in pulp fiction. - Gunmaster45
Colt Detective Special
When Max Cherry (Robert Forster) picks up Jackie Brown from jail, he had to leave his Colt Detective Special at the entrance. He later returns it back into his glovebox in his car where Jackie discoveres it while checking for cigarettes inside. Without Max knowing it, she "borrows" it for later use and gives it back to Max the other day. In the final scene of the movie in Max' bureau, she again gets a grip on it as it is deposited in a drawer of Max' desk.
