Gary Oldman is an Academy Award nominated actor who was first well known to movie audiences for his villainous roles in such films as Leon (The Professional), Air Force One, and The Fifth Element. He then gained prominence for his role as Commissioner James Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy of films. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his role in the feature film adaptation of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011).
