Boyz n the Hood
Boyz n the Hood is a 1991 drama about a young boy named Tre Styles who resides in a downtrodden neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles. As he grows into a young man, the teenage Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr.) has sights on being a responsible individual and making his own way out of the 'hood'. In doing so, he lives his life along with his friends, who go by their own paths, all while contending with the racism and violence of the drug-riddled, gang-heavy and crime-plagued area in which they live. The film was directed by John Singleton and co-stars Laurence Fishburne, Ice Cube and Morris Chestnut.
The following weapons were used in the film Boyz n the Hood:

Colt Python
The "piece" held by 'Furious' Styles (Laurence Fishburne) is a Colt Python in .357 Magnum fitted with a six inch barrel. In the beginning of the film, he uses it to fire two shots at the burglar in his home. Later in the film, Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr) grabs it from Furious' stash box as he prepares to avenge Ricky. The police officer who pulls over Tre and Ricky uses an identical-looking Colt Python (most likely Fishburne's gun being reused in a different scene). The officer erroneously refers to the gun as a "Smith & Wesson".
Colt Double Eagle
The stainless steel pistol used by Doughboy (Ice Cube) throughout the film is a Colt Double Eagle. Probably an original Double Eagle Series 90 in .45 ACP caliber. The movie was filmed during October and November of 1990, so it is also possible that the gun was a Double Eagle Mk.II Series 90, and if so it could have been either a .45 ACP or a 10mm Auto.
MAC-10
At the car show on Crenshaw, Ferris (Raymond C. Turner) scares away Doughboy and his crew by unloading several magazines from a MAC-10 into the air.
12-Gauge Short-Barreled Side-by-Side Shotgun
One of Ferris' crew (character listed as 'Knucklehead #2) (Lloyd Avery II) carries an unknown model Side-by-Side Short-Barreled 12-Gauge Double-Barrel Shotgun. The gun appears to have had the stock sawed-off. He uses it to briefly threaten Tre and then near the end of the film to kill Ricky (Morris Chestnut).
Norinco Type 56-1
At the end of the film, Monster (Baldwin C. Sykes), a member of Doughboy's crew, uses a folding-stock Norinco Type 56-1 assault rifle (Chinese AKS-47/AKMS clone) to gun down Ferris and his crew in a drive-by shooting. It's interesting to note that he inserts the magazine incorrectly when he's loading the gun (the way he loads it prevents the hook in front of the feed lips from connecting properly to the mag well).
