Murata Rifle is a little known Japanese Bolt-Action Rifle. This is the first modern Japanese long firearm (before it, Japan produced only Tanegashima arquebus). It's also the first indigenous Japanese rifles. Murata Rifles were used during the Boshin War by the Japanese Imperial Army. Later Murata Rifle were replaced by more advanced Arisaka Rifle. But several Murata rifles still used during the Russo-Japanese War and even during the World War I. Captured Murata rifles were used by the Chinese armed forces, sold Murata rifles were used by Philippines armed forces. Due it obscurity and low commons murata rifle most likely appears in old or historical Japanese movies, TV-series or anime.
