Angel was the American televison series spin-off of the WB series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Following the destruction of Sunnydale High and the defeat of the mayor in the Buffy Season 3 finale "Graduation Day, Part 2", Angel (David Boreanaz) left for Los Angeles. He soon met half-demon Doyle (Glenn Quinn), and Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter), a former member of Buffy's Scooby Gang who also left for LA after the Battle of Sunnydale High. Together they formed Angel Investigations, investigating supernatural occurrences in Los Angeles. Unlike its parent show, Angel never shied away from firearms, and the first half-dozen episodes of Angel had almost as many guns as Buffy had seen is the first 3 seasons combined. The series aired in the US on The WB from 1999-2004 and was co-created by Joss Whedon.
