The following weapons appear in the video game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain:
For weapons relating to its sister game, see Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
WU Silent Pistol
The "WU Silent Pistol" [Windurger No.2 Silent Pistol] tranquiliser gun is shown passing over to Phantom Pain. However, it appears no longer having a permament supressor. The gun substitutes the Mk.22 - featured in MGS3, PO & PW - and Ruger Mk. III - MGS4.
AM D114 Pistol
The "AM D114 Pistol" [Arms Material Delta-114 Combat Pistol] is brandished by Snake. The gun substitues the M1911 that has been featured through-out the MGS series, starting with 2004's MGS3.
URAGAN-5
The "URAGAN-5 Pistol" [BTS Instrument Design Bureau Uragan-5 Pistol] is a 5 round pistol that uses non-lethal shotgun rounds. Ocelot is shown dual-wielding them in 2014 December MGO trailer.
Colt Single Action Army (???)
A revolver is shown Ocelot's holsters in the debut trailer. Ocelot's trademark weapon through-out the series has been the iconic Colt Single Action Army, but with the new frankengun designs abound, it won't be certain if it truly will be Ocelot's trusty SAA.
Unknown PPK/Makarov type Pistol
From Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain E3 2014 Trailer: Ocelot is shown (apparently) giving shooting instructions to the Diamond Dogs mercenaries. One of the soldiers is practicing Ocelot’s characteristic from-the-hip firing technique with a small handgun, which is most likely inspired by pistols in the Walther PP and Makarov PM family tree.
The pistol is most likely the side arm of Soviets and most probably obtained from them.
Sz.-336
Sz.-336 SMG [Sodomka zbrojovka Type 336 Submachine Gun] made it over from Ground Zeroes. Like most weapons in the game, it appears to be made up of parts from various real firearms, namely the ones in SA.23 SMG and Uzi family tree.
Several XOF troopers are seen wielding it while storming the hospital premises in The Phantom Pain VGA and GDC trailers.
S1000 Shotgun
Naked Snake uses the fictional "S1000 Shotgun", modeled after the Remington 870 while on Ocelot's white horse (yes, a white horse), against a fiery apparition resembling Colonel Volgin on an equally fiery apparition resembling a winged unicorn.
AM MSR-4
The FAL style rifle known s the "MRS-4", returns from Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. It is part of the fictional "AM-69" rifle series in the game, and draws design influences from the FN FAL, the SR 88, and the Daewoo K2. It features a FN Para style stock, FN style side charging handle, cylindrical fore-arm with attached tactical torch, removable suppressor, and utilizes STANAG 5.56x45mm magazines.
AM-69
The SAR-80 style "AM-69" returns from Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. It is part of the fictional firearm series unique to this game which includes the "AM-69", "AM-69 AAS", and The AM MRS-4". They utilize features of the FN FAL such as the long front hand guard, Daewoo K2, and the SAR 80 to which they most closely resemble.
Unknown 'Late Cold War' Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle
An unnamed sniper rifle has been seen in the hands of the silent sniper, Quiet. Possibly obtainable for Punished Snake to use in The Phantom Pain.
It has elements from "late Cold-War Sniper Rifles" (like Parker-Hale M85 and Sako TRG) in contrast to the M2000D Sniper Rifle - that has elements from "early Cold-War Sniper Rifles" like Winchester Model 70 and Remington Model 700 - featured in Ground Zeroes.
SVG-76
SVG-76 (substituting for AK) assault rifle is seen used by child soldiers in the Red Band trailer. These particular AKs have ribbed dust covers with AKS-74U rear sights.
They are also fitted with distinctly NATO looking flash hiders, non-standard forestocks, complicated lower recievers which don't appear to be based on any real-life weapon, gas tubes with a profile something like later AK74 ones (though the similarity falls apart beyond silhouette) Very long magazines (front-to-back) suggesting they may be chambered in something bigger than 7.62x39, wholly fictitious rear trunnions, and front sights bearing similarity to AK front sights only in the actual globe/shroud and post shape.
The second AK shown (which Snake snatches from what appears to be a russian VDV soldier) is actually a completely different model, looking a little bit closer to a real-world AK74, though it appears to sport a dust cover with similarities to a Vz.58, a rear sight mounted to the back of the dust cover which looks, from pictures, similar to a Galil SAR's rear sight (that is, in addition to a standard AK rear tangent) and as with the mgs5 "AKM," a nato-looking flash hider.
Unknown mech gun
SIG SG 550
One of Skull Face's men is seen with a SIG SG 550.
Unknown general-purpose machine gun A
In TGS '14 playthrough trailer of The Phantom Pain, an African milita is shown carrying a unknown GPMG.
Unknown general-purpose machine gun B
UAV that has been equipped with an unknown general-purpose machine gun is guarding the new Mother Base.
Shipunov 2A42
A Shipunov 2A42 is mounted on the same fictional transport-configured Mi-28 seen in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
M18 Smoke Grenades
M18 Smoke Grenades are seen on a MSF soldier's vest.
Gun Shelf
During the presentation of his new Metal Gear Solid video game, Hideo Kojima made a demonstration of what the FOX engine was capable of. He most notably showed a conference room set, with this gun wall.
From the top left to right we have the "AM-69" assault rifle with scope, the "FB MR R-Launcher" recoilless rifle and display round, The "Sz.-336 SMG" (Ruger MP9), The "MSR-4" assault rifle, what seems to be a sawed-off Winchester Model 1887 lever action shotgun, a grenade launcher looking like a Milkor Stopper, and on the bottom row the "S1000" pump action shotgun, and a pair of "AM D114 Pistols", the right one equipped with a suppressor and tactical torch.
As seen at the end of the credits for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes thanks is given to the airsoft manufacturer Tokyo Marui, so it is not unfeasible to suggest that they were contracted to build mock ups of the guns in the game.
