The Expendables 3 is the 2014 sequel to 2010's The Expendables and 2012's The Expendables 2. The film was directed by Patrick Hughes and Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of a team of mercenaries, who this time is forced to fight a co-founder of the group, an arms dealer named Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson). With the third film, the franchise holds record for the largest number of action stars per movie, this time fitting the already awesome cast with Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Robert Davi.

The following firearms can be seen in the film The Expendables 3:

Handguns

Custom Kimber Gold Combat II

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) uses a pair of Kimber Gold Combat II pistols as his sidearms in the film, the same Kimber Gold Combat II pistols that he wielded in the first film. In this film, the Kimbers' grips feature small "Expendable" emblems on both guns. The same symbol is also seen in Barney's toothpick knife.

Rifles

Steyr AUG

Surgeon (Wesley Snipes) uses a Steyr AUG.

Shotguns

AA-12

"Trench" Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is seen using an AA-12 shotgun fitted with a weaponlight and a drum magazine as he did for the climax of the second movie. It was taken from Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) who wields a heavier M134 Minigun in this movie, one of the weapons which is, ironically, associated with Schwarzenegger being in several of the movies he acted, especially Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Machine Guns

M134 Minigun

A hand held M134 Minigun is seen used by Hale Caesar (Terry Crews). Ironically, he shifted this weapon with Arnold Schwarzenegger (who was seen with it in several movies before) who this time wields Crews' own weapon-of-choice from the first two films in the franchise.

PK Machine Gun

Something very similar to a PK Machine Gun was glimpsed on some of the set photos.

Okay, I'm not sure on AUG and PK Machine Gun pictures, so delete them, just in case. --Kloga (talk) 12:58, 21 December 2013 (EST)
What about the still? --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:00, 21 December 2013 (EST)
Oops. Basically forgot about it for some time. Not sure, either... --Kloga (talk) 13:05, 21 December 2013 (EST)

Does this facebook photo from Statham count? :P http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=300070923488488&set=a.108463682649214.17080.100827133412869&type=1 --JASPERPOON (talk)

Teaser Poster

I don't remember that being the teaser poster. Wasn't this -> http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/55/Expendables_3_poster.jpg <- The teaser poster? --SeanWolf 18:02, 21 December 2013 (EST)

Both are the teaser posters. --Kloga (talk) 19:30, 21 December 2013 (EST)
OK. I was only asking cause, like I said, I don't remember that seeing that one.--SeanWolf 19:49, 21 December 2013 (EST)

Hi guys, I am still quite new here so i don't really know how should I format my post... Anyway, here are some fresh posters released yesterday: http://ck101.com/thread-2955710-1-1.html

"Trench" Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) seems to really like the AA-12 and Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) should be using the P226 SCT again.

Arsenal Shipka SMG?

While watching the film I saw gun similar to Bulgarian Arsenal Shipka SMG. It was used in the final battle by Smilee character (Kellan Lutz), when he drove on the bike. Anyone can confirm?--Chris22lr (talk) 14:12, 27 August 2014 (EDT)

Behind the Scenes

XM25 is really a mocked up L85A1

Did anyone else notice this? If not then sweet! I'm the first! I noticed that the XM25 that Mars uses looks like it has the bolt of an L85A1, like it was a mock up. Take a look.

Look at the bolt.

L85A1, just for comparison.

What do y'all think-Gunner5

This is really weird for a few reasons:
  1. To start with, based on the fact that there is a fired cartridge stuck in the ejection port we can rule out that this is airsoft and is an actual L85A1. This is a relatively uncommon gun in civilian hands, so it strikes me as odd that they would choose to modify one of these into this thing when they could have used literally any bullpup, or even a conventional rifle in a bullpup stock like the Moritas from Starship Troopers.
  2. Why does it even need to be based on a real gun? The cases that would be ejected would be way to small and look ridiculous, and it isn't like their is recoil from blanks so this would be massively exaggerated anyway. I suppose that it has the advantage of being able to have some muzzle flash, but this can be done with CG and would probably be enhanced anyway.
  3. If you look at higher res versions of this image you can see that the case that is jammed in the chamber is a fired blank, but the base is facing outwards. Is this possible? I have never seen it before, only the typical "stovepipe" with the mouth of the case facing out. I can't think of a way for the empty case to wind up in this position unless it bounced off of a wall back into the chamber as it was closing or something weird like that.
I agree that this is deffinitely an L85A1, but it is just a weird choice. --commando552 (talk) 09:51, 8 September 2014 (EDT)

AK

Aren't the AKs in the movie AK-47s instead of AKMs, as evidenced by the barrel? --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 15:58, 22 September 2014 (EDT)

Do you mean the lack of a slant muzzle brake? If so, this is not integral to the barrel and can be removed from an AKM, or for that matter fitted to an AK-47 so that doesn't necessarily help ID it. The only picture that really helps ID them is the first one which only shows the bottom, however from the lack of a bayonet lug on the gas block this does narrow it down somewhat, and combined with the fact that it has a sling loop on the gas block and what appears to be a milled receiver (not 100% on this though) I think that would make it either a Type III AK-47 or an Norinco Type 56 "M22". --commando552 (talk) 19:18, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
Ah, okay, thanks man. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 12:41, 23 September 2014 (EDT)

Various handguns

Ok, so I remember a few handguns I saw in the film. Both Jason Statham and Antonio Banderas used SIG's, though I'm not sure which variants. A few of the soldiers from the final battle used what appeared to be Makarov PM's and I'm fairly certain I saw a few H&K USP's used, though it was primarily used by Stonebanks's top bodyguard --Bauer2121 (talk) 17:49, 7 November 2014 (EST)

Starting screencapping

I have started identifying/screencapping this film, should take a few days. I will update the page as I go. Feel free to help/comment on the talk page --LordOfTheLocusts (talk) 14:31, 27 November 2014 (EST)
