Tom-Yum-Goon also known as The Protector in the US is a 2005 Thai martial arts action film directed by Prachya Pinkaew (Ong Bak). Kham (Tony Jaa) is a member of a family line of guards who once were tasked with watching over the King of Thailand's war elephants. Kham and his father now watch the elephants and prepare them for various events such as the traditional New Years Day Songkran festival. However, it is where where poachers steal the elephants and sell them to the Chinese gang in Sydney where the meat go to a underground restaurant serving endangered species and the bones go the boss, Madam Rose's (Xing Jin) personal collection. It is now up to Kham to fulfill the duties of his family by finding the elephants and bring them home.
