The Spitfire Submachine Guns were originally manufactured in Phoenix, Arizona in the 1960s as a semi automatic carbines, in the 1968 was registered and modified as to full automatic. It is a stout, robust submachine gun with heavy duty parts. The Spitfires were common in Central America and used by the Mexican police in the mid-1960's.
