Lee Enfield SMLE No. 1 Mk. III
The standard infantry rifle of the British troops, Black & Tans, Auxiliaries and later the Free State's National Army. It is also the most commonly used rifle by the IRA.
Revolvers
At least two kinds of Webley & Scott models are used; Mk I or Mk IV and Mk VI. Mauser Gewahr 98
A common misconception is that the rifles landed in Howth for the Irish Volunteers in 1913 were the Mauser Gewahr 98. It was in fact the long obsolete Mauser 1871 single shot bolt-action rifle. However the Gewhar 98 (or G98) is featured most prominently in the hands of Teddy Boy.
