While confronting him for money on the roof, Chris R uses a Beretta 92FS Inox to threaten Denny.

Later, near the end of the film, after engaging in an intense altercation with Lisa, Johnny (Tommy Wiseau) opens a small chest with a Beretta 92FS Inox inside and uses it. A closeup of the gun reveals that it is actually a Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240, an airsoft gun which looks very similar to the Beretta 92FS Inox. This explains why no spent casing is ejected and why the slide does not move when it is fired.
