Croatian Armed Forces page
We're clamping down on the number of armed forces pages, and unfortunately, the Croatian military has only been featured in three (by my count) pieces of media here. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:10, 21 February 2013 (EST)
Gun Images
Please refrain from uploading pictures of guns that don't appear in any media - it is against our rules. I mean the Five-seveN MK2 and Benelli M4 images. Thx. bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 13:39, 14 April 2013 (EDT)
Actual Photographs are Preferable
Sorry, there are already plenty of actual photographs of the M4A1 that can be used for a page. --Ben41 (talk) 15:03, 14 June 2013 (EDT)
- It's more preferable to have an actual photograph of a weapon on the page that is just missing the accessory rather than to post a facsimile version. It can mentioned in the caption what was used in the movie or series. The only exception is when there are no actual photos of the weapon available, As stated before, the M4A1 is well represented on the site. --Ben41 (talk) 03:59, 15 June 2013 (EDT)
SPAS
Could you please stop uploading that picture of a SPAS with a stock? We've already got one, and the one we have is actually square-on to the camera rather than sloped at a really weird angle. Evil Tim (talk) 10:44, 16 June 2013 (EDT)
NowShowing
The NowShowing template was designed to bridge the gap between pages for Upcoming films and pages that are incomplete. The banner specifically says "This article is for a film currently in theaters or otherwise unavailable for screencapping." --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:06, 23 August 2013 (EDT)
629 Competitor image
You recently uploaded this image with the caption "The same, but with classic regular rail - .44 Remington Magnum". Firstly, I doubt this is the "classic" rail as it is a more modern MIL-STD-1913 one as opposed to the Weaver one on the image above. If there was to be a new version it would use a MIL-STD-1913 rail (much like the current Desert Eagles) as this is more compatible with current accessories. Secondly, does this variant even exist, as I have never seen one and close inspection of the markings on the gun reveals it is simply a photoshopped version of the image above it. There is absolutely no need to add images that are photoshopped of possibly fictitious guns, that even if real have not appeared in anything.
In general, can you please refrain from adding images of variants of weapons that do not appear in media, as it makes pages more confusing and takes up space on both the servers and the pages themselves. I am talking about stuff like all of the unused XD images, minigun variants which are indistinguishable from other ones and mystery Beretta variants that you upload images of despite the fact that you have no idea what it it. --commando552 (talk) 10:56, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
- I just realized that the cylinder is wrong on it as well, so if it is a real gun I think it would be a .357 686 Performance Center. The frame still has the same tarnishing marks as the 629 Competitor though, so I think there is some photoshopping from one image to the other but not sure which way round. What I said still applies though, this variant hasn't appeared in anything so there is no reason to add it. --commando552 (talk) 11:07, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
Deuce Bigalow
Please try to use better quality sources for your screenshots. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:53, 29 August 2013 (EDT)
Hangover Part III
This film will not be released on video until Oct 8, 2013 and so unless your screenshots are from a trailer, these will not be displayed until then. In the future, please try to find better quality sources for your screenshots as well. --Ben41 (talk) 09:47, 15 September 2013 (EDT)
Unfortunately, YouTube is not a very good source to get screenshots from and should only be used if there is nothing else available. An HD source has a resolution of 720p or 1080p and usually is from taken from either a Blu-ray or an HD version of the film purchased from such sites as Amazon. A commercial DVD also is an acceptable source as well. Again, none of these sources will be available until the release date. --Ben41 (talk) 12:42, 15 September 2013 (EDT)
- If you had read the Rules, you would've seen that the first item deals with bootlegs and official release dates. Besides, uploading Youtube clips actually makes work for the rest of us since we have to replace them with something better. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2013 (EDT)
- I just want to be sure of the facts: you were able to watch the entire film on youtube three weeks prior to the official release date? --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:36, 8 October 2013 (EDT)
- Can you just confirm what the source of your images was. The quality, resolution and date you posted them all suggest that they are from a bootleg (illegal copy) which we do not allow images from on the site. --commando552 (talk) 12:56, 8 October 2013 (EDT)
- Which means someone will have to go and redo the screencaps. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:46, 8 October 2013 (EDT)

Do Not Copy Summaries
Please do not copy summaries from other sources. --Ben41 (talk) 18:16, 19 October 2013 (EDT)
Model names
It's been already established on the site that "Model" is fully spelled out for Smith & Wesson revolvers in order to differentiate from S&W automatics. Also, all the first letters in such titles as "Machine Guns" are capitalized because these are considered headings. Please do not change these in the future. --Ben41 (talk) 19:27, 29 October 2013 (EDT)
Undisputed 2
I assumed it was still WIP because it's missing an image for the AK and lacks categories. Are you going to complete this page? --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:47, 11 November 2013 (EST)
Glock labeling
There is no need to change every Glock entry to "G". Please refrain from changing this. --Ben41 (talk) 14:48, 22 November 2013 (EST)
Your Edits
Feel free to make changes if there are glaring mistakes, but some of the changes you've made are not necessary. The reason why sometimes the descriptions of the weapon are placed afterwards is because the companies make different weapons. --Ben41 (talk) 15:52, 22 November 2013 (EST)
In addition, you are not in a position to decide how articles are formatted. Switching hyphens to emdashes, adding in the "times" symbol when the rest of the wiki uses an x or throwing on metric notation for Imperial calibres is not something you should do without admin approval. Stop it. While you're at it, stop edit warring with people: if you have a disagreement, take it to the discussion page or their user page. Evil Tim (talk) 14:05, 23 November 2013 (EST)
- You were asked to stop changing the formatting. We won't ask again. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:40, 28 November 2013 (EST)
