Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (often called Enemy Territory, W:ET or E.T.) is a free multiplayer game developed by Splash Damage (creators of Brink). Activision planned to release the game with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but due to scheduling conflicts it was released only in 2003 as a freeware multiplayer game.
The following weapons appear in the video game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory:
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is available to the Covert Ops and Engineer classes. The Covert Ops uses a scoped and suppressed version to maintain stealth and pick enemies from a long distance. The Engineer can attach a "rifle grenade" onto the muzzle and use the M1 Garand as a grenade launcher.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k appears in Enemy Territory as "Mauser Rifle" (Karabiner 98k). Has the same attributes as the Allied M1 Garand.
Thompson M1A1 Submachine Gun
The Thompson Submachine Gun is the standard Allied weapon in the game. Available to all classes but the Covert Ops, which uses the suppressed STEN or a sniper rifle. Has a 30-round magazine and high stopping power.
MP40
The MP40 is the Thompson's Axis counterpart. Has exactly the same stats as the Tommy Gun.
Colt M1911A1
The sidearm of all the American soldiers is the M1911A1. The Covert Ops class can use the suppressed version. Holds 8 bullets in the magazine, while the real gun holds only 7. The player can wield two pistols akimbo style after reaching a certain number of "Light Weapons" skill.
Luger P08
The Luger P08 appears as the standard German sidearm in the game. Holds 8 bullets like the M1911A1. Only the German Covert Ops can use the suppressed Luger. Can be dual-wielded like the Colt.
FG 42
The FG 42 is the main light machine gun for the German Army. It is equipped with Zeiss ZF4 telescopic sight. Comes with a 20-round box magazine and high rate of fire. Strangely, even Allied covert ops soldiers use it as their primary weapon.
Sten
The Sten Mk IIS is a silenced weapon, and must be fired in bursts to prevent it overheating. If it overheats, there is a brief pause when it can't fire and steam escapes from the barrel shroud. It is also used by Axis soldiers, not only by Allied ones.
M2 Flamethrower
The M2 Flamethrower is an extremely effective short range weapon and it can be used with great success as both an offensive and defensive weapon.
MG42
The MG42 machine gun has a tremendous rate of fire, very inaccurate when fired from a standing position but deadly accurate from prone position. It is also fitted with a set of bipods. The player can deploy the MG and sacrifice the mobility for increased accuracy and reduced kick.
Panzerfaust
The Panzerfaust is available for the German and Allied soldiers as a primary weapon replacing the Tommy Gun/MP40.
Mk 2 hand grenade
The standard American grenade in the game is the Mk 2 hand grenade.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate appears as the Wehrmacht hand grenade. Same as the Mk 2.
S-Mine
Antipersonnel mine used by both sides in the game. Only Engineers can plant the S-Mine.
Time Bomb
Used by the Engineer class.
Mortar
The mortar is totally useless in close quarters combat. This is meant as a powerful support weapon for use in large open areas.
Satchel charge
The satchel charge can be remotely detonated to kill enemy players from a distance.
