Judge Dredd
Judge Dredd is the 1995 feature film adaptation of the comic book character, who first appeared in comic strips in the British science fiction anthology "2000 AD". Sylvester Stallone stars as Dredd, a "Street Judge" who is authorized in a future world to pass "judgment" upon criminals with his special firearm known as "The Lawgiver". The film's cast included Diane Lane, Rob Schneider, Armand Assante, and Max von Sydow. A feature film "reboot" starring Karl Urban as Dredd was released in 2012.
The following weapons were used in the film Judge Dredd:
"The Lawgiver II"
The primary weapon of a Judge in the film is "The Lawgiver II". It's seen primarily used by Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone), Judge Hershey (Diane Lane), and Rico (Armand Assante). According to this article [1], the Lawgiver II is in reality a 9mm Beretta 92FS handgun with the futuristic casing built around it. In the film, the gun's capabilities include rapid-fire, grenade launcher, signal flare launcher, and a special dual round known as the "double-whammy". It also has a security feature which allows only a Judge to operate the gun. There were 6 practical firing Lawgivers, all with slight variations in their casings. There were 2 sfx "Double Whammy" Lawgivers designated as H1 and H2. Both guns had motorized barrels which were servo operated by radio control by off stage technicians. Sensors built into the front and rear of the Beretta's external magazine well caused the lit casing elements to operate. By releasing the rear sensor and squeezing the front the side elements go out and the red elements on each side of the casing come on...signal flare, rapid fire etc. None of the practical live fire Lawgivers had the Double Whammy rubber scope with glass lense.
SIG-Sauer P226
A SIG-Sauer P226 fitted with a laser sight is first seen pulled on Herman Ferguson (Rob Schneider) and then used by the Block Warlord (James Remar).
AKMS
A gang member is seen using a AKMS during the opening Megacity shootout.
Remington 870
Judge Dredd, the Block Warlord, and Chief Justice Fargo (Max von Sydow) are seen using what appears to be Remington 870 shotguns housed in futuristic shells.
EAA Witness
When Dredd and Ferguson are captured, Junior Angel (Ewen Bremner) is seen pulling a EAA Witness fitted with a scope on Dredd.
Smith & Wesson 5906
Justice Griffin (Jürgen Prochnow) is using visually modified Smith & Wesson 5906 to threaten Judge Dredd.
Security Rifle
The guards use these futuristic rifles when confronting Pa Angel after he's captured Dredd and Herman. From closer examination of the rifle's ejection port, it appears that the rifles are built around an AK-type rifle.
Concealed "Badge" Gun
While incarcerated, Rico is given a badge holder which first displays a Judge's badge. He is then able to configure it into a weapon.
Aspen Security Rifles
The Security personnel guarding Rico at the Aspen Prison carry these futuristic rifles. These appear to be some AK-type rifle within the futuristic shell.
Geiger's Bazaar
Geiger's Bazaar is the place where Rico goes to procure a particular weapon. In the shop, several other weapons can be glimpsed such as two AK series rifles, a Luger P08, an M1 Garand, a French MAT-49, a British Vickers machine gun and an M16 rifle.
