Talk:Executive Decision
eh, what the hell. I'll do this one, too. The Winchester
- Ok, running into computer complications. This one might take a while. The Winchester
Done
Whew! I didn't expect this one to take me so long. 1990s action movies tend to be relatively straightforward and easy (which is why I do so many of them), but this one took close to 3 hours for some reason. -MT2008
- I've had that happen to me as well. Great work, the page came out excellent. - Gunmaster45
- Thanks. But for a page that only has 14 guns listed, it's just...surprising. -MT2008
Excellent work, It came out nice. It's nice to finally have this page screencapped and completed.--Alienqueen11 03:23, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- MT, beautiful! I also found it funny that you got the exact same pictures that i did! Thanks for taking it when i couldnt. The Winchester
from page (AK)
- These are not AKMS rifles when they have the .75" front sight. They have the vent holes on the gas tube body like the AK47/Type 56. The AKMS would have a solid Gas tube and only vent holes on the gas block, which these guns don't have. Also they have smooth, not ribbed dust covers and smooth, not riveted under folder stocks. They are probably Norinco Type 56-1 rifles with the front sight hood shaved off and the AKM style front wood grips installed. MPM2008
- Point taken on the stocks; I forgot to look at that. The very first picture (and the third) however, do clearly show AKMS - the front sights are the correct .5" type, and the gas blocks are AKM-style. I guess the other weapons are probably Type 56-1s with AK-47 style front sights, and then AKM muzzle breaks, grips, and receiver covers added. -MT2008
Anybody know Seagal's knife, used in the opening scene of the film?
Found a new pistol
While watching this I just saw a previously unnoticed pistol carried by Seagal in a chest holster during the opening scene:
I think it is a later model High Standard HDM with adjustable sights, but I'm not 100% sure as the quality on my DVD is pretty crappy:
Does anyone have the Bluray to get a better shot of this? Also, is there a deleted scene or something where this pistol is actually used, or at least drawn? I wonder because it seems like a very odd pistol to have as an incidental prop (my assumption that it is suppressed or at least depicted as such for taking out sentries), and it is not a case that at this location they did not have access to the 1911 he has later, as all the other soldiers in this scene have the same 1911. Also, I believe that the British version of this (mine) has some scenes trimmed for violence and to get rid of some of the scenes about religious fundamentalism, so something relevant could be cut from my version. --commando552 (talk) 18:25, 28 November 2012 (EST)
