Unidentified revolver

Nice page, for some reason war movies sometimes just look better in black/white. As to the unidentified revolver, I have two options and maybe you can check the DVD what seems most logical. Italy did not really use that much revolvers in WWII so it's either captured from the British (Colt Official Police, Enfield No.2 or Webley .455 Mk VI), or in the case it's Italian it would probably be a Glisenti Model 1889. Bren gun

Do you have any more images of the Bren-like gun? It isn't a Bren, I think it is some kind of mock up, possibly a Hotchkiss M1909 with a fake magazine on the top. Is is ever actually shown firing? --commando552 (talk) 13:30, 4 May 2013 (EDT) It's true, at the time when it shooting, is on the roof of the Lewis Gun! In this film are more weapons. In a conflict with the German unit during a sandstorm. But I did not catch anything useful. The Germans also had a unidentified machine gun.--Pandolfini (talk) 17:38, 4 May 2013 (EDT) Here is HQ pic of this car - http://www.releasedonkey.com/big/TVY1Qk1qSTJOekE0TURnek5sNUJNbDVCYW5CblhrRnRaVGN3TXpNeU5UVXdPQQ/henry-fonda-and-thomas-mitchell-in-immortal-sergeant-large-picture.jpg

I think Commando552 is right. The magazine is probably fake and if you look at the screenshot the position of the grip is the big give-away to the Hotchkiss M1909; it is located behind the receiver and not under it like on the Bren gun.
I did some research and found that the United Kingdom did employ their version of the Hotchkiss M1909, called the Hotchkiss Mk.I, as automatic weapon on early armoured vehicles. For this reason, it is not unrealistic to see that gun in this movie. Please check Hotchkiss M1909 page on Wikipedia and this interesting book cover for more details.
For final reference, the Hotchkiss Mk.I is already mentioned on IMFDB, in the page for Michael Collins, but the gun page had not been created yet, so you probably could not find it. I created a page for the Hotchkiss Mk.I and revised the page for the two movies where it appears, PeeWee055 (talk) 14:25, 9 May 2013 (EDT)
