S.T.A.R.S.

Special Tactics And Rescue Service. The name was apparently derived from a special police team in Singapore called S.T.A.R. The word "Service" is game canon, not "Squad" - if you want proof, boot up RE2 and look at the huge mural in the STARS office, or the PSX/PC (1996) version of RE1 and look at the newspaper headline in the opening FMV. The wording "Special Tactics And Rescue Squad" was incorrectly used by author S.D. Perry in her (sanctioned by Capcom, but considered non-canon) novels.

- On the back of the original RE1 (PSX) box, it's Squad. Ingame, it's Service. Simple lack of proper communication between the various groups involved in making the game.

  • Barry Burton´s Samurai Edge isn´t a beretta 96, due to it´s chambered in .40 s&w?
The Beretta 96 is .40 S&W. Spartan198 05:53, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but the page says custom 92...; that means the page is wrong, and barrys gun is a custom 96

How is the page wrong by saying it's a 92? Because it is a 92. The normal gun is 9mm, Beretta 92FS custom "Samurai Edge". Always was, allways will be. Barry's gun could possibly be a 96, which is exactly the same as a 92 just in .40 S&W.

Barry's Samurai Edge, from my point of view, would more or less be a Beretta 96FS converted to select fire (much like many "Beretta 93Rs" in movies are just converted Beretta 92s. Spartan198 16:18, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Samurai edge

We don´t have a decent pic of barry´s samurai edge or the silver serpent eighter. Playing with paint i made those two images. They arent perfect, but they´re close to the guns, do I upload those images? (please, tell me how)-I don´t speak english very well, so please be patient-.

  • sigh*. Just go here for images [1]. I'm an admin there, and you have my permission to use information, images, blah blah blah. We have several pics of both guns. Same goes for all other RE articles. I really don't care about people jacking info from us. This is the internet, after all.--PistolJunkie 05:14, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
I ment this picture:

, it´s kinda low res, because i made it with paint, what do you think. (If you wanna use this, no problem, I´d be glad).

Damn, that's a cool picture

I made too this one:

the silver serpent

The airsoft Barry model works better, seeing as it has the correct grips.--PistolJunkie 06:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Magnum

The model seems to be much closer to the Colt King Cobra, because the in-game model has solid construction where the ribbing would be on the Anaconda and would have similar aftermarket grips.

It's just a Python customized with a new heavier barrel, a smooth cylinder, and a custom wooden grip. And did you mean Python not Anaconda. Python and King Cobra = .357 magnum, Anaconda = .44 magnum. Plus, the bottom of the Python's trigger guard is flat and bottom of the King Cobra's (and the Anaconda's) guard slants forward and downward a bit. That's one of the easiest ways too tell the difference between the Python and King Cobra besides just the barrel, look at pictures of them side by side to see what I mean. - Mr. Wolf

It's a damn Anaconda or a gun completely made up. there is no fucking .44 magnum Python. --TheREwiz

Everyone has accepted that this gun is an Anaconda. Even the game says it's an Anaconda. You can't just refuse that it is and keep changing it back to a Python after I correct it because of your opinion. --TheREwiz

First off, please sign your posts. Second, like I said earlier, we go on visual evidence here. It doesn't matter what it was intended to be, it matters what it is. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:11, 19 January 2013 (EST)
Also, there's no need for profanity. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:20, 19 January 2013 (EST)

So, because ONE person (aka YOU) thinks that the gun is a Python, that makes it so? Okay let's present the evidence here; Anaconda: the game itself refers to the gun as an Anaconda, the gun is .44 Magnum like the Anaconda and there is no .44 Python, the revolver cylinder is clearly .44 caliber, the same fingergrooves as the Anaconda that the Python doesn't have. Python: screw above the trigger and wood grips. I'm not denying your logic, but the gun clearly was not intended to be a Python. I'm sure we can come to a conclusion... just put that it's some kind of phony Anaconda/Python hybrid design. --TheREwiz

flamethrower

The flamethrower is really a puzzle becuse it seems like it been built by a assultrifle trigger and the rest i dont know
