Michiko e Hatchin (also known as Michiko to Hatchin) is a 22 episode anime television series from Studio Manglobe (Eden of the East) and produced by Shinichirō Watanabe (director of Cowboy Bebop). The series is set in the South American country of Republica de Diamandra (a fictional nation based largely on Brazil) and centers around a young orphan girl named Hatchin who's world is turned upside down when the escaped convict Michiko "kidnaps" her from her abusive adoptive family in order to find Hatchin's birth father, who Michiko has a history with and believes is still alive.
The following firearms are used in the anime series Michiko e Hatchin:
A number of Beretta 92F pistols are seen in the hand of various minor characters, usually Law Enforcement officers.
Smith & Wesson Model 10HB
The Smith & Wesson Model 10HB is also commonly seen in the hand of multiple police officers in the show (usually with the post 1950s front sights and 6" barrels). Any scene where a cop draws his Model 10 usually results in Michiko taking it from him.
Several M1911A1 pistols are seen throughout the series, most notably in episode 14, when Michiko receives one as a "gift" from Gyle.
M1911 Custom
Inspector Atsuko Jackson carries a custom M1911 as her standard weapon. The pistol's modifications include target sights, and extended safety switch, skeleton trigger, and a long slide and 7" barrel (similar to the AMT Hardballer Longslide).
Rico carries a Browning Hi-Power pistol. The weapon is a conglomeration of various Hi-Power models, featuring the slide of the early Hi-Power models and the horn hammer of the post-1973 models. Shinsuske is also seen using one (and two) during episode 20.
Tokarev TT-33
During a flashback in episode 5, Cyril uses a Tokarev TT-33 pistol.
In episode 10, Shinsuske hides a Taurus Model 85 with wood grips and loaded with a single round on the captive Mitchiko before delivering her to Satoshi.
Taurus Tracker Model 455
Satoshi's favorite weapon is the Taurus Tracker Model 455 revolver. He owns at least two of them, as he dual-wields them during the Casa Vento shootout.
Charter Arms Undercover
During a flashback to when they were children in episode 10, Satoshi is seen giving Hiroshi a Charter Arms Undercover revolver.
CZ 83
The police officers in Batata who try to interrupt Michiko's bank robbery all carry CZ 83 pistols. These are all older models distinguishable by the rounded triggerguards.
The corrupt police sergeant in episodes 21 and 22 uses a Star Model B Super.
Unidentified Handguns
Unidentified Pocket Pistol
Tony uses this unidentified pocket automatic in episode 4.
Satoshi's Pistol
Satoshi is seen with an unidentified handgun during a flashback in episode 5.
Unidentified Revolvers
Two of the Fantasma syndicate's enforcers in episode 5 carry unidentified revolvers.
Unidentified Bolt-Action Handgun
Gyle uses an unidentified bolt-action pistol in episode 14.
Submachine Guns
Beretta M12 / Taurus PM12
The guards in Penitenciár de Diamandra carry Beretta M12 (likely intended to be the Brazilian "Taurus PM12" clone) submachine guns. Michiko snags one during her escape, and continues to use it throughout the first episode. Satoshi is also seen using one in episode 20, as are several of his men during the flashback in that episode.
Ingram MAC-10
Shinsuske and his men use suppressed Ingram MAC-10 submachine guns in episode 8. They are seen using these same weapons again (sans suppressors) during the Casa Vento shootout.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1897
Father Pedro Belenbauza owns a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun, which he uses (to little effect) in the first episode.
Unidentified Shotgun
During Pepe Lima and Lulu's escape from Rico, Lulu uses this unidentified pump-action shotgun.
Satoshi uses an Ithaca 37 during the Casa Vento shootout to blast a hole through the second floor and make an escape route for Hatchin and himself.
Rifles
Suppressed Sniper Rifle
A Fantasma sniper uses a suppressed sniper rifle in episode 6. The weapon is never seen clearly enough to identify.
Unknown Rifle
During her brief reassignment to a backwoods village in episode 13, Atsuko is seen with an unidentified rifle slung over her shoulder. The weapon is never seen clearly enough to identify, or even to know if it is bolt-action or semi-automatic.
Ruger Mini-14
The local crime boss in episode 21 uses a Ruger Mini-14 rifle outfitted with a small scope. The weapon's portrayal is somewhat off, as the magazine is drawn too far back on the receiver and the shooter is seen manually cycling the bolt.
Unknown Assault Rifle
The Republica de Diamandra border guards are armed with a nondescript assault rifle. The weapon is never clearly seen, making it impossible to positively ID.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
During her escape from Penitenciár de Diamandra in the first episode, a prison security helicopter fires at Michiko with a Browning M2HB.
Grenade Launchers
M79 Grenade Launcher
One of the security guards at the research facility in episode 16 uses a M79 grenade launcher loaded with tear-gas grenades.
Other Weapons
Pump-Action Repeating Crossbow
In episode 10, Atsuko retrieves a pump-action crossbow from the trunk of her patrol car after she looses her sidearm.
Pneu-Dart X-Caliber
The circus owner in episode 11 makes frequent use of a CO2 powered Pneu-Dart X-Caliber dart gun that has been painted black and the scope removed.
M26 Hand Grenade
During the Casa Vento shootout, Satoshi uses a single M26 hand grenade.
