Battle for Moscow(Russian Title: Bitva za Moskvu/Битва за Москву) is a 1985 Russian/East German/Czechoslovak/Vietnamese World War II drama directed by Yuri Ozerov. The film consists of two parts. In first part (named Aggression) shows the events that took place in Summer 1941 on the Eastern front: the sudden Nazi Germany's attack on Soviet Union and heroic defense of the Brest Fortress. In second part (named Operation Typhoon) shows battle for Moscow, in which German troops has suffered their first major defeat in World War II. This battle was one of the largest during the War, with more than a million total casualties.
