i don't think this is AK74, because the receiver look like Type I AK-47

Colt XSE

It really could be any "loaded" 1911 and not specifically a Colt XSE Excalibur01 17:43, 25 April 2012 (CDT)

The same could be said of almost any 1911 variant in anime where you can't see the specific markings, but with these the goal is usually to select the closest (and in this case a spot on) match.
Also, to anyone adding sections to this page; please add new weapons AFTER older listings. Since the protagonists' preferred weapons are the most frequently seen ones and the listings that most readers come to the page for, it's better to have them listed first with new weapons used by minor characters listed afterwards.
--PistolJunkie 23:50, 25 April 2012 (CDT)

I've listed weapons by order of appearance sometimes Excalibur01 11:27, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

Yes, but people keep going in and adding new listings to this page and adding them at the beginning. So things like Jonah's FNC and Browning HP (two of the first guns to appear in the show and two of the most frequently seen weapons) keep getting buried under listings for weapons that only show up once. It's just sloppy.--PistolJunkie 12:26, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

The kid's name is Jonah. Unless there's a difference in translation Excalibur01 14:17, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

Mistyped. Fixed.--PistolJunkie 15:59, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

You didn't need to fix it, now whoever reads this discussion is confused as to why I am correcting you. Excalibur01 16:54, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

I really like this show

This is one of two gun totting animes that I have recently started watching. I like this better because the other one is Upotte and well...watching it made me uncomfortable and I had to shrug and wonder what was on the mines of the Japanese when they created that one Excalibur01 16:54, 26 April 2012 (CDT)

I've been following the manga series for a while now, I'm really glad (and a little surprised actually) that they are turning it into anime. As for Upotte...just think of it as a moe way to teach the average Japanese anime watcher gun knowledge...XD --Wildcards 12:59, 3 May 2012 (CDT)
While inserting images of little girls that would be uncomfortable to watch for adults? Excalibur01 17:18, 3 May 2012 (CDT)

I've been reading ahead and I can't wait for them to show us the SCAR L and the Masada Excalibur01 19:53, 11 May 2012 (CDT)

Ah, the part of R and the rogue SAO operators...can't wait till that part too. Might be able to see AR-70 briefly, too.--Wildcards 19:43, 20 May 2012 (CDT)
If you like Jormungand then watch Black Lagoon. They're essentially doppelgangers.
Yeah that was an awesome series as well. Did that page with YNH Excalibur01 11:37, 21 May 2012 (CDT)

Saw the episode and it was a little disappointing. We actually don't see really good side views of the SCAR that Hex was using Excalibur01 (talk) 14:04, 25 October 2012 (EDT) Watching the episode again, I just realize that only Hex was using the SCAR, the rest of her team had M4s Excalibur01 (talk) 12:27, 28 November 2012 (EST)

Chinatsu Cannon Special

The description says its built on a Colt SAA frame, but to me it looks like a Ruger Blackhawk.

Not Car-15

You can see the knobs for the detachable carrying handle Excalibur01 21:52, 30 May 2012 (CDT)

I'll assume it's an M4A1? Ominae 00:45, 31 May 2012 (CDT)

On a semi-related note, the CAR-15s in the show have A2 rear sights, so they aren't 723s. They actually look almost spot on with Garry Gordon's 733 from BHD, save for the camo paint and light.

Spartan198 21:14, 20 August 2012 (CDT)

So are we in agreement that it isn't a 723? Excalibur01 (talk) 20:09, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

Bofos Ak5?

Rk 95 (top) & Rk 62 (bottom)

Valmet and her men were from the Finnish Defense Forces, which doesn't use Ak5s... Not to mention the rifles looks like some sort of AK variant (Rk 95 maybe?)--Wildcards 13:21, 7 June 2012 (CDT)

Ouch! Yea, I don't know why I did that. Changing it now. Ominae
Those do not look like Rk 95s, since Rk 95s have a skeleton stock like a Galil. When you see the rifles on the ground, they have a Rk 62 type stock, like in the picture to the right. Rk 95s are modern, but they are much rarer than the old Rk 62s, so a lot of soldiers get Rk 62s instead of Rk 95s. --Mailia 13:22, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

I have no idea what this is.

-I think that the pistol is a ISSC M22 .22 cal pistol. It looks like a Glock but it has a hammer. -insertjjs

2nd Season

Looks like we won't be seeing the second season until October Excalibur01 11:41, 27 June 2012 (CDT)

Aye. Been announced way before. But I'm thinking about splitting this up since a lot more weapons will show up in the next few months... Ominae 14:54, 27 June 2012 (CDT)

This could be like Fate/Zero where it's one series that was split up into 2 parts. Black Lagoon was actually like that, the second half was called the Second Barrage and technically called the Second Season Excalibur01 17:04, 27 June 2012 (CDT)

Well the second season's officially called "Jormungand: Perfect Order". Ominae 04:53, 20 August 2012 (CDT)
So should it be given a second page or just incorporated into this page and just mentioned? Because Black Lagoon's second season is called The second Barrage even though both seasons are in one page Excalibur01 07:17, 20 August 2012 (CDT)
I have no problem if there's another separate page. But that's just me. Ominae 18:33, 20 August 2012 (CDT)

Change of status

Since the first season has finished airing, shouldn't the status be changed? Excalibur01 23:45, 1 July 2012 (CDT)

Already done before. Now that Perfect Order's airing in Japanese TV, I feel hesitant to open up a new page since I'm remembering Black Lagoon's Second Barrage. Although if anyone wants to object, speak now or forever hold your peace. Ominae (talk) 02:05, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

COD Black Ops 2 joint project?

Apparently there's a Black Ops 2 tie in with this show. Excalibur01 (talk) 14:08, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2012-09-19/call-of-duty/black-ops-ii-jormungand-anime-join-forces

I'm not surprised if it's a Japan-only thing. Ominae (talk) 17:16, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

Speaking of joint project, I've just read a 6 page of something a fan did that crossed over with Black Lagoon. They actually made it in continuity because Koko is actually a lot younger in the comic and Revy is exactly the same age she is from her anime which took place in the 90s Excalibur01 (talk) 20:09, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

IIRC, Keitaro Takahashi did that comic with the consent of Rei Hiroe. I read that a few months ago. Actually awesome. Ominae (talk) 20:27, 10 October 2012 (EDT)
The fact that the crossover mentions Team America, and character names, means this crossover takes place after 2004 and if Koko is that young then, means she's got to be around 10. So far, it's not clear what time period the Jormungand takes place in `Excalibur01 (talk) 21:04, 10 October 2012 (EDT)
Only in the anime that it states Jormungand first takes place in April 2012 IIRC. It doesn't say in the manga though. Ominae (talk) 22:19, 10 October 2012 (EDT)
I'm just judging from the crossover manga itself Excalibur01 (talk) 22:52, 10 October 2012 (EDT)
Ah, but I still need to raise my point though. Anyhow, the COD BO2/Jormungand website should reveal more info soon. Ominae (talk) 23:15, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

IDing guns

I'm having trouble with these guns that Hex was using. Excalibur01 (talk) 13:44, 17 October 2012 (EDT)

At 1st glance, I want to say Taurus Millenium Pro? Insertjjs

I think it is too long for a Millenium Pro. It could be a Taurus PT 24/7 (ignoring the slots on the bottom of the rail), I think I can see the oblong dimple above the front of the trigger guard along with the two pins behind it in the first screenshot. In the second you can also just about make out the shape of the slightly recessed "stripe" on the frame that goes from the front of the trigger guard to the rear of the frame. --commando552 (talk) 20:22, 17 October 2012 (EDT)
Your right, it is a 24/7. There is a clear side view in 3rd episode of the 2nd season. Insertjjs

Need this handgun ID

File:Jormungandunknownpistol.jpg

Need an ID on this pistol... can't just quite get it, thanks Magpulmania (talk)

Which episode is this one from? Looks kinda like a S&W Excalibur01 (talk) 18:44, 26 November 2012 (EST)

its from the most recent episode, about Wiley. Its the part where Wiley is setting up the explosives and one of the enemy pulls out his pistol (in the screenshot) and shoots at Wiley.

My guess is a Star variant, possibly the Star 30 PK. --commando552 (talk) 18:59, 26 November 2012 (EST)

thats what I thought as well.... well, actually I thought it was the Star Megastar, but 30 PK does look much closer. Thanks!

Make sure when the image is posted, it's without subs and good quality Excalibur01 (talk) 20:56, 26 November 2012 (EST)

92F vs 92FS

What is the difference between the two again? This guy put a 92F into the page and I can't really tell because of the low quality of the screen cap Excalibur01 (talk) 23:22, 6 December 2012 (EST)

I only put it there 'cause the sidearm's used by the US military. If you got a better idea, feel free to change it or let me know that it's a 92FS. Ominae (talk) 23:55, 6 December 2012 (EST)
Then technically it should be called the M9 Excalibur01 (talk) 08:19, 7 December 2012 (EST)
The difference between the FS and the original 92F is that the FS has an enlarged hammer pin to prevent the slide from flying backwards into your face if it cracked. The difference between the two is internal, not external. If the character is using it during the Gulf War, it'd be a 92FS because the slide failures that prompted the redesign of the pistol occurred in the late 80s.
