InFamous 2
inFamous 2 is the 2011 direct sequel to the 2009 superhero game inFamous, developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony for the Playstation 3 only. Like its predecessor it is an open world game where the player can choose actions under a simple two-option morality system to make their character good or evil. Set in a world where powerful superheroes called "Conduits" have been created by the detonation of a weapon called the Ray Sphere, the game begins with the coming of a giant monster called the Beast which reduces the previous game's Empire City to ruins and forces the player character, Cole McGrath, to relocate to a city in the South called New Marais to train his abilities. New Marais is in a state of tyranny under the iron rule of a local businessman, Joseph Bertrand, who has formed a militia to govern the city following a collapse of law enforcement after a catastrophic flood. Cole must brave this new threat if he is to become strong enough to defeat the Beast.
SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is the main handgun in the game, used by the character Lucy Kuo, rebel soldiers and police officers.
Unknown Revolver
Zeke uses a large-frame revolver of a now undetermined make and model, although it appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 686.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
During the comic-style introduction, Lucy Kuo is shown holding a Heckler & Koch MP5A3. She never uses this weapon in the game itself.
SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 is used by specialist soldiers of both human factions, the Icemen using it in combination with a dashing attack which they "pose" briefly at the end of before firing.
AKM
Reapers in the introductory comic sequence are shown firing AKM assault rifles.
Remington ACR
The Remington ACR is used by standard enemies of both human factions. Militia snipers use a scoped variant with a laser sight and a barrel extension.
M134 minigun
Militia heavies are armed with handheld GE M134 Miniguns. Oversized miniguns are also seen mounted on the stub wings of militia Black Hawk helicopters. As per normal videogame rules, the miniguns fire incredibly slowly.
Milkor MGL Mk 1L
On rare occasions, militia soldiers use Milkor MGL Mk 1L launchers; these lob time-delay grenades, almost always in high arcs. They are most commonly seen in the hands of soldiers on "gunboats" (actually fishing boats with armed men on boat) who use these weapons to terrorise the nearby townspeople.
RPG-7
RPG-7 rocket launchers are used by the rebels and by both human enemy factions. The rockets are shown with a huge exhaust flare and a massive black smoke trail, and enemies using these weapons seem to have very little concept of splash damage since they will fire even when Cole is standing directly in front of them.
Unknown heavy machine gun
An unknown heavy machine gun is seen in towed, wheeled mountings at various locations, used by the militia. The weapon appears to be a "frankengun" and features a truly bizarre single spade grip.
M30 Mortar
M30 Mortars are seen occasionally in fixed positions belonging to the militia, exclusively during missions. Several are seen at the old mansion where one of Bertrand's bases is located, and more are seen at Fort St. Phillipe during the attack on the militia stronghold.
10-Inch Disappearing Gun
Fort St. Phillipe on the Eastern side of the first island is equipped with three 10-inch Disappearing Guns as its primary armament. These are modelled after the real-life 10-inch guns at Fort Casey in the state of Washington, though they are not shown correctly emplaced, lacking both turntables and a parapet or bunker for the gun to retract behind / into for loading.
13-inch mortar "Dictator"
Several severely undersized replicas of the US Civil War-era "Dictator" siege mortar with outsized bores can also be seen at Fort St. Phillipe. The most obvious sign that these mortars are far smaller than they are supposed to be are the two steps leading up to the muzzle of a waist-high weapon.
