The Front Line (2011)
The Front Line (Korean title: Gojijeon/고지전) is a 2011 South Korean war film directed by Hun Jang. In the closing months of the Korean War, a South Korean Lieutenant (Ha-Kyun Shin) is sent to the eastern Aerok Hills to investigate the mysterious death of a company commander and uncover a suspected mole. There, he encounters an old friend (Soo Ko) leading troops and becomes involved in the battles to secure the Hills before the impending ceasefire.

Tokarev TT-33
A North Korean officer points a Tokarev TT-33 at Lieutenant Kang Eyun-Po (Ha-Kyun Shin) when he tries to prevent his friend Kim Soo-Hyeok (Soo Ko) from being dragged away from North Korean soldiers during a flashback to the early days of the Korean War.
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is the standard sidearm for South Korean officers, and is used by Lt. Kang, acting Captain Shin Il-Young (Je-Hoon Lee) and replacement Captain Jae-Oh.
Mauser C96
North Korean Captain Hyun Jung-Yoon (Seung-Ryong Ryoo) uses a Mauser C96 as his sidearm.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
North Korean soldiers use PPSh-41 submachine guns. Kim also uses a captured PPSh-41 when he captures a North Korean position.
Rifles
M1 Garand
South Korean troops are mostly armed with M1 Garand rifles.
M1-D Garand
Lt. Kim uses a M1-D Garand as his main weapon, occasionally with the M84 scope attached.
M1 Carbine
Lt. Kang uses a M1 Carbine throughout the film. Some South Korean soldiers also use them as well.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Many North Korean soldiers use Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifles.
Mosin Nagant M91/30 Sniper Rifle
Cha Tae-Kyung (Ok-Vin Kim) uses a camouflaged Mosin Nagant with a PU 3.5x sight as her main weapon.
Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine
Some North Korean soldiers are armed with Mosin Nagant M44 Carbines, distinguishable by their side-folding bayonets.
Arisaka Type 99
A few North Koreans use Arisaka Type 99 rifles.
Machine Guns
Browning M2 HB (M51 Quad Mounted System)
In an early scene, an attack is launched against a North Korean unit which has captured a South Korean Anti-Aircraft battery featuring Browning M2 machine guns in a M51 Quad Mounted System.
Browning Automatic Rifle M1918A2
Master Sergeant Yang Hyo-Sam (Chang-Seok Ko uses a BAR M1918A2 in several scenes.
Browning M1919
During a flashback sequence, a younger Captain Shin fires a Browning M1919 machine gun.
Degtyaryov DP-28
Degtyaryov DP-28 machine guns are seen in North Korean fortifications.
Maxim M1910/30
The North Koreans use Maxim M1910/30 machine guns while battling the South Koreans.
Other
M7 Rifle Grenade Launcher
Lt. Kim uses a M7 rifle grenade launcher in one battle to destroy an enemy bunker.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
South Korean troops frequently use the Mk 2 hand grenade, first to destroy the recaptured AA position and later during the battles for the Aerok Hills.
Stick Grenade
North Korean troops use stick grenades during the battles.
