The following weapons were used in Season 5 of the television series CSI: Miami:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
Throughout season 5, MDPD officers are routinely seen carrying the Beretta 92FS. It is safe to assume that any uniformed officer seen with a pistol is using a Beretta 92FS unless otherwise indicated on this page.
In "Curse of the Coffin" (S05E06), Detective Michael Lloyd (Ryan Hurst) is seen with a Beretta 92FS when detaining a suspect.
In "Come As You Are" (S5E10), a Beretta 92FS is used by a civilian at a shooting range designed to simulate a middle-eastern combat zone, the civilian drawing it when his M16A4 runs dry as he encounters the last target.
Beretta 92FS Inox
In "Backstabbers" (S05E11), Horatio is seen firing a Beretta 92FS Inox in the lab.
Beretta 92G Elite II
Beginning in Season 5, Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo) switches to a Beretta 92G Elite II.
Glock 17
In "Rio" (S05E01), Tiago Matos (Luis Antonio Ramos) uses aims a Glock 17 at Raymond Jr.
In "Going Under" (S05E02), multiple Glock 17s are seen fitted into CornerShots
In "Going, Going, Gone" (S05E09), Detective Jake Berkeley (Johnny Whitworth) is seen with his Glock 17 which he aims at Kornspan when defending Calleigh.
In "Backstabbers" (S05E11), Abu Nafi (Merik Tadros) uses a Glock 17 in a drive-by shooting to kill an attorney while trying to kill Sonya. Horatio is later seen test firing the Glock in the lab.
Glock 17 (Two-Tone)
In "Death Eminent" (S05E05), Ethan Danbury (Ben Livingston) is seen with a Two-Tone Glock 17 when he confronts Horatio at the MDPD.
Kimber Pro Carry II
Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) switches to a stainless Kimber Pro Carry II pistol beginning in Season 5.
SIG-Sauer P226
Det. Frank Tripp (Rex Linn) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 throughout season 5.
In "Death Pool 100" (S05E03), a pair of robbers are seen with P226s.
In "Going, Going, Gone" (S05E09), George Kornspan (Jason Blicker) aims a P226 at Calleigh.
SIG-Sauer P226 (Two-Tone)
In "If Looks Could Kill" (S05E04), Abby Biggs (Joelle Carter) uses a Two-Tone SIG-Sauer P226 to murder Janet Sterling. This appears to be the same gun used in CSI: NY - Season 6.
SIG-Sauer P226 Beavertail
Beginning in season 5, Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) switches to a SIG-Sauer P226 Beavertail.
SIG-Sauer P229
Lt. Horatio Caine (David Caruso) continues to use his SIG-Sauer P229 during season 5.
Taurus PT 24/7
In "If Looks Could Kill" (S05E04), an angry husband chases down the man he catches sleeping with his wife while wielding a Taurus PT 24/7.
Walther P99
In "Backstabbers" (S05E11), a carjacker named Hector Rivera (Rick Gonzalez) uses a Walther P99 to commit a carjacking. Horatio is also seen firing one at the crime lab's shooting range following a shootout with Al-Qadr terrorists.
Unknown S&W
In "Rio" (S05E01), Raymond Caine Jr. (Carter Jenkins) is ween with an unknown S&W which he aims at Matos demanding to speak to his father.
Browning BDA 380
In "Death Pool 100" (S05E03), a Browning BDA 380 said to be firing .380 Auto, is used by a shooter in the pool to kill Dakota.
Revolver
Unknown Revolver 1
In "Darkroom" (S05E08), Gavin LaPorte (Jonathan Cherry) holds Natalia's sister hostage with an unknown revolver.
Unknown Revolver 2
In "Internal Affairs" (S05E12), Lauren Sloan (Sharon Leal) uses an unknown revolver to commit murder. A photo of the gun is seen during the interrogation.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
In the episode "No Mans Land"(S5E15) a police truck transporting captured weapons is blown on its side by an IED, which causes all the guns to spill out. Civilians rush to start taking weapons, one man in particular is seen with a PPSh-41 sticking out of his shoulder bag.
Rifles
FN FAL
In the episode "No Man's Land" (S5E14), Eric Delko gets shot by a sniper firing an FN FAL fitted with a scope. It can clearly be seen when Lt. Caine fires his SIG-Sauer P229, hitting the suspect. The suspect then falls off the roof and the fixed stock and scope are clearly visible.
M16
In "Death Pool 100" (S05E03), Coast Guard Officers are seen with M16s when storming the gambling boat.
M16A4 Rifle
In "Come As You Are" (S05E10), a civilian at a military-themed shooting range set up to simulate urban combat in the middle east can be seen using an M16A4 fitted with an AN/PEQ-2 laser system, RIS foregrip, Surefire Universal weaponlight, and an ACOG scope mounted on the carry handle. Marines shown engaged in combat in Iraq can also be seen with M16A4's throughout the episode.
M1 Garand
In "Come As You Are" (S05E10), a Marine honor guard can be seen firing a gun salute using M1 Garand rifles at the funeral of a slain Marine.
Sniper Rifles
Heckler & Koch SL8
During "Throwing Heat" (S05E13), a Cuban assassin comes ashore and obtains a Heckler & Koch SL8 to use as a sniper rifle. He shoots two cops with the gun and then attempts to kill a prominent Miami real estate figure before Horatio Caine intercepts and finally kills him first.
Heckler & Koch SR9T
In "Going, Going, Gone" (S05E09), in order to stop a terrorist-piloted bomb truck from crashing into a nuclear power plant Horatio Caine (David Caruso) takes aim with a Heckler & Koch SR9T sniper rifle and destroys the truck with a single well-placed shot.
Ruger 10/22
In "No Man's Land" (S05E14), a Ruger 10/22 is used in the final seconds of the episode to shoot Eric. The gun is not seen until "Man Down" (S05E15) when Ryan and Calleigh discover it to be the murder weapon. They misidentify it as a .223.
Shotguns
Browning BPS
In Season 5's "Just Murdered" (S5E11), a man destroys his own boat with a Browning BPS Hunter shotgun during a domestic dispute with his wife (who follows suit with a chainsaw), which seems to be a 20-gauge, judging by the muzzle diameter.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB Heavy Machine Gun
In "Come As You Are" (S05E10), some U.S. Marines in Iraq are seen using a Browning M2 Heavy Barrel mounted on a Humvee.
M249 SAW
In the episode "Come As You Are" (S05E10), one Marine can be briefly seen firing an M249 SAW while engaging insurgents in Iraq.
Heavy Weapons
M72 LAW
In the episode "No Mans Land" (S05E14) a police truck transporting captured weapons is blown on its side by an IED, which causes all the guns to spill out. Civilians rush to start taking weapons, but the real thug goes for the LAW (killing a police officer in the process), and hides himself in a cement mixer to fire it at a courthouse in order to free his boss. He ends up killing himself in the process because the backblast from the launcher had no where to go but out the front. As Frank Tripp puts it, "he was more concerned about concealment than about safety".
Other
CornerShot
In "Going Under" (S05E02), a shipment of CornerShot weapon systems are stolen by a Miami gang, the incident attracting the team's attention when one is used to kill an undercover BATF agent, leading the team to join forces with another BATF agent investigating the theft.
Land Mine
In "Throwing Heat" (S05E13), a number of landmines are placed on a Miami beach in an attempt to kill Cuban refugees. Frank accidentally steps on one "almost ruining his day" before the bomb squad defuse it.
