Jormungand (named for the serpent in Norse mythology that grew so big that it wrapped around the world) is a twelve episode anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Keitarō Takahashi. It follows the exploits of Johnathan "Jonah" Mar, a child soldier recruited by Koko Hekmatyar to work for the black market side of HCLI, an international shipping corporation that secretly deals weapons all over the globe. The series is notable for the amount of research and detail put into both the weapons and the various military factions that appear throughout the series. The television adaptation began airing on April 10, 2012; a second season has already been greenlit and the first season has been licensed by Funimation for a U.S. release.

Browning Hi-Power Mark III
Before introducing him to the rest of her crew, Koko hands Jonah a Browning Hi-Power Mark III, which he continues to use as his primary sidearm.
Colt XSE
Koko gives Jonah a Colt XSE as a decoy weapon before their confrontation with Kroshkin.
Heckler & Koch Mark 23
Lehm's preferred sidearm is the Heckler & Koch Mark 23.

FN P90 TR
Chiquita is seen holding an FN P90 TR submachine gun with an EOTech red dot sight in the opening credits.

The Heckler & Koch MP5A4 submachine gun makes numerous appearances throughout the series.

Jonah is seen holding an AKMS rifle during a flashback of the time before he joined HCLI.

Mao can be seen firing a Heckler & Koch G36K out a car sunroof during the opening credits.

"R" can be seen firing a Steyr AUG A1 out a car window during the opening credits.

M249 SAW paratrooper
Valmet uses a M249 Paratrooper SAW during the chase sequence in the first episode.
M61 Vulcan
A F-22 is armed with the M61 Vulcan in the first episode.
Yakushev-Borzov Yak-B
A Mil Mi-24 "Hind" equipped with a Yakushev-Borzov Yak-B Gatling gun is shown to illustrate the contents of a shipment from one of HCLI's competitors.
Sniper Rifles
Remington 700PSS
Lehm is seen firing a Remington 700PSS rifle during the opening sequence.
Other Weapons
FGM-148 Javelin
During the chase scene in the pilot episode, a Voshkod 6 operator tries to take out Koko and Jonah's car with an FGM-148 Javelin. Koko manages to correctly identify the weapon by just the sound the rocket makes when it detonates.
M67 hand grenade
Jonah uses the blast from a M67 hand grenade to deflect an incoming 127mm rocket.
