Nice, but where's the trigger?

This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it.

Handguns

Taurus PT92

Known as the MK 23 Handgun in-game, it best resembles the Taurus PT92. The gun itself is also very similar to that of the 'Samurai Edge' Beretta used in Resident Evil, although without the stainless barrel or the slide-mounted safety. However, it has an unrealistically low capacity of 7 (unless modified to use .45 ACP rounds, as the handgun ammunition boxes hint) on Normal difficulty and 5 on Hard. Alex can obtain this handgun once he has passed over the Old Revolver to Curtis. He offers the MK 23 as a fair trade.

Custom M1911-pattern pistol

Known as the "Chrome Hammer" Pistol in-game, it has a distinctive resemblance to an SVI or STI custom M1911 or 2011, with its jet funnel magwell and compensator. The Chrome Hammer can hold up to 7 bullets at one time on Hard Mode. Alex can obtain this if he hacks away at the wooden barricade in the cemetery with the Fire Axe. Obtaining this weapon is optional.

Shotguns

Winchester Model 1912

Simply known as the Shotgun in-game, despite being a 12-gauge shotgun, it best resembles the Winchester Model 1912 for it's overall shape and is pump action. As with the MK 23 it has an unrealistic capacity of 3 shells on Hard difficulty. Alex obtains this at the police station, where deputy Wheeler gives it to him.

Franchi SPAS-12

The SPAS 12 is featured in-game as the "Bluesteel" shotgun and is an upgraded version of the regular Shotgun, however it does not feature a stock. Like the Chrome Hammer, the Bluesteel is also optional and can be obtained when Alex is trapped in the 'Otherworld' of his own home. The Bluesteel has a slightly more realistic ammo count with 4 shells at a time.

Rifles

M14

The M14 ingame holds 5 rounds and is one of the more stronger weapons of the game although ammunition is scarce with a cap at 5 in the magazine and 10 on hand, the M14 is an optional weapon acquired in the Dargento Cemetery as a reward of completing the Janus statue puzzle.

Police marksman rifle

Uncertain to what the weapon may be however upon first glance it does resemble an Accuracy International Arctic Warfare L96A1 without a scope, the weapon is located towards the end of the game in the Underground room 113 under the name "Police marksman rifle", it is similar to the M14 in terms of ammunition and capacity however it has more power, due to the weapon being located in close proximity to Deputy Wheeler and lacking any form of attachments it may be possible the L96 was bought as a civilian model for use by the Shepherds Glen police.

Other Weapons

Laser Pistol

Like in many previous Silent Hill games, this weapon is obtained after getting the "UFO Ending". The weapon has unlimited ammunition and is able to kill enemies with rather ease.

Colt SAA

Although not usable as a weapon, this gun is obtained when Alex takes it from his mother fearing that she might do something with it. The gun is traded in at a junk yard for the Mk.23
