To Be or Not to Be is a comedy starring Mel Brooks and his real-life wife, the late Anne Bancroft. The film is pretty much a straight up remake of the 1942 film of the same title starring Jack Benny and Carole Lombard. Unlike many movies that star Mel Brooks, he did not write or direct it, only serving as actor and producer. Directing duties were taken up by rookie director Alan Johnson, who had worked with Brooks on many previous films, but only as a choreographer.
The film co-stars José Ferrer, Charles Durning, Christopher Lloyd, Tim Matheson, and George Gaynes.
The following guns were used in the film To Be or Not to Be (1983) :
Walther PP
Prof. Siletski (José Ferrer ) uses a Walther PP in the film. Some Gestapo officers also carry it.
