This centerfire autoloading rifle, designed by John Browning, made from 1906 to 1936 in several calibers (25 Rem., 30 Rem., 32 Rem., 35 Rem). It was specifically designed for medium to moderately powered cartridges designed for pump or lever action rifles (like the .30-30) and was never designed to take any of the higher powered cartridges.

  • Carbine Williams - (MGM 1952, starring Jimmy Stewart) there is a modified version; it is the actual conversion made by Mr. Williams in Caledonia Prison in NC in the 1920s. It incorporates a floating chamber, which converts the rifle to a fixed barrel, short recoil weapon.
