Sudden Impact
Guns seen in this movie:
Smith & Wesson Model 29
During most of the movie, Clint Eastwood, as “Dirty Harry”, carries his S&W model 29 in .44 Remington Magnum caliber. Actually, in one of the movies, he refers to the .44 as a "lighter load". It probably refers to the slightly shorter and much weaker .44 Special from the early 20th century. In any case, it would be a impractical using full-house .44 magnums in urban San Fransisco.
AMP .44 AutoMag 180
Eastwood uses also an AMP AutoMag 180 in .44 Auto Magnum caliber, in the movie.
Colt Detective Special
Sondra Locke uses a nickeled Colt Detective Special as her murder weapon.
Mossberg 500 w/ folding stock
Albert Popwell uses a Mossberg 500 shotgun (12 gauge), with a folding stock.
Later, we see Paul Drake using the same shotgun after Popwell's character, Horace King is killed with a knife.
Browning Hi-Power
Used by several of the mob assassins that chase Callahan.
Later, we see a Hi-Power (the same one?) in Paul Drake’s home.
Uzi
Used by several mob assassins chasing Callahan.
Colt Model 1903
One of the robbers, at the first shootout of the movie, uses a pistol without external hammer, that looks like a Colt Model 1903.
Later, we see that one of Sondra Locke’s victims also has this pistol.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Used by Pat Hingle, in his role of Police Chief Jannings
M1911 pistol series
A 1911-type pistol is used by the bank robber that Callahan chases
Remington 7600 rifle
This pump action rifle is seen in the hands of Nancy Parsons
