I'll check through this in more detail when I get home, but keep it to the talk page for now. Remember, Apocalypse Now is not stock footage, it is a movie. What matters is what would be available to the production, not what the US military would actually have access to at the time, since it is very well documented that the movie had no US military support whatsoever.
