Saints Row : The Third is an upcoming game, and the third entry in the Saints Row series. In this "ridiculous, over-the-top, guilty pleasure" sandbox crime game, the player must lead his gang, the 3rd Street Saints against a dangerous international crime conglomerate named "the Syndicate" for the control of the city of Steelport. The game extends the "fun and unrealistic" trend of the series, and this aspect is reflected in the weapon list, from giant dildo bat to laser-guided air support. Weapon customisation is also a large part of the game.
The game is announced for November the 15th, 2011 (USA).
These are the weapons assumed to be in the video game Saints Row : The Third :
Melee
Apoco-Fist
The Apoco Fists are a pair of oversized costume fists that cause the enemy to combust into a gory mess when the enemy is punched. The name was confirmed by Drew Holmes, Writer for Saints Row: The Third at Volition, Inc.
Penetrator
As awkward as the name sounds, the Penetrator is a ten inch long dildo attached to a handle of a base-ball bat. The name was confirmed at E3 2011.
Pistols
Custom M1911
An unknown, probably custom, M1911 variant appeared in various screenshots. The name was confirmed as ".45 Shepherd" in the E3 demo, a name shared with the .44 Shepherd from Saints Row 2. It has a capacity of 8 rounds in the demo.
Walther P99
The KA-1 Kobra is a left-handed Walther P99, and the successor of the automatic Kobra pistol from Saints Row 2. David Payne: "The base level is just the standard 9mm pistol with a tactical flashlight mounted on the front, similar to the AS3 Ultimax, which will toggle on at night. The upgrade path includes things like a larger magazine, a suppressor to reduce recoil and a laser sight for higher accuracy when not using fine-aim. When fully upgraded, the KA-1 Kobra comes equipped with Armor-Piercing rounds, which can tear through any enemy with ease including enemies with riot shields and all types of Brute classes", confirmed by David Payne, Weapons Art Lead at Volition.
Submachine guns
Heckler & Koch MP7
The "TEK Z-10" is a submachine gun similar to the MP7, but with a few differences. It Holds 40 bullets in the mag. The name was confirmed by the E3 demo. The TEK Z-10 is the successor of the T3K Urban SMG from Saints Row 2, confirmed from David Payne, Weapons Art Lead at Volition. The fully upgraded version has a large suppressor, a extended magazine, hand-grip, and possibly a C-More red dot sight.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1887
The "Gravedigger" is a lever-action shotgun the first iteration of which is loosely based on the sawed-off Winchester Model 1887 seen in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (or more likely the one seen in Modern Warfare 2) and it holds 6 shells. It is seen on the E3 demo, used to nutshot innocent pedestrians. It can be upgraded to have an improbable number of 3 barrels, despite the lever-action.
AS3 Ultimax
The AS3 Ultimax shotgun is a new and improved version of the XS-2 Ultimax shotgun from Saints Row 2. By default, it comes equipped with a side-mounted flashlight that will toggle on at night. Once the Ultimax is fully upgraded, it looks and functions like a fully-automatic assault rifle that shoots buck shot. This is confirmed by David Payne, from his words on "Weapons Week - Day 1" on Saints Row: the Third official site.
Assault Rifles
Custom AK
An unknown AK-47 variant with various custom modifications, including a M4-style stock, the K8 Krukov is the successor of the K6 Krukov from Saints Row 2. The named was confirmed during the E3 demo. The magazine holds 30 bullets, but the weapon can be upgraded to use belt ammo.
Custom M4
A custom M4A1 variant with various modifications, including telescopic sights and a M16 styled 4-prong flash-hider, the "AR-55" is the successor of the AR-40 Xtnd from Saints Row 2. The name was confirmed from Weapon Week - Day 4, on the Saints Row: the Third official site. The standard AR-55 fires a 3-round burst, as opposed to the AR-40 Xtnd automatic setting.
