X-Men: First Class (2011)

X-Men: First Class is the fifth film in the X-Men film franchise. Set primarily in October 1962, during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the 2011 prequel was directed by Matthew Vaughn and examines the beginning of the friendship between Charles Xavier (who would become Professor X) and Erik Lehnserr (who would become Magneto).

The following weapons were used in the film X-Men: First Class:

Handguns

Luger P08

A Luger P08 is used by Dr. Klaus Schmidt (Kevin Bacon) while testing Erik Lehnsherr's powers during the 1944 flahback. Later, a former SS member holds one on Erik, who then kills him and uses the gun to finish off the remaining officer.

Colt Model 933 (mocked up as XM177E1)

Soldiers accompanying Charles, Erik, and Moria to the Soviet General's palace are armed with Colt Model 933 assault rifles heavily modified to resemble prototypes of the CAR-15 rifle. Which would be anachronistic because CAR-15s were not invented with the configurations of the telescopic stock until the late 60s, which should instead be a fixed stock like the one on the M16. There were however prototypes of early CAR-15s in the early 60s, but they did not look like the ones in the movie.

M16A1

American soldiers aboard the Naval Blockade are armed with M16A1 Rifles. Since this movie took place during the Cuban missile Crisis in 1962, this rifle, like the CAR-15, this is an anachronism because M16s were not issued to US military en mass until the onset of the Vietnam war and the fact that the M16A1 was not produced until 1968.

Trivia

Hugh Jackman's Cameo

When Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender) began to recruit mutants, they briefly encounter James Howlett/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and attempt to recruit him before he tells them to "go fuck yourself." Interestingly, Wolverine has no memory of this moment due to the events of X-Men Origins: Wolverine leading to his amnesia and the fact that Erik and Charles aged greatly before the events of X-Men took place.

Rebecca Romijn's Cameo

X-Jet

A prototype version of the X-Jet appears near the end of the film. Despite heavily resembling the SR-71 Blackbird, it is actually completely different as it features a passenger area and the fact that Hank/Beast designed it himself.
