Combat Arms
Combat Arms is a online-only FPS game published by Nexon. It features many real-world weapons, and equipment. In addition, it also includes game maps to accomodate different types of play. The types of gameplay include:
Elimination: The classic team deathmatch game mode.
Elimination Pro: Team deathmatch that restricts respawn to once every game.
Quarantine: Team deathmatch, only one team is human, the other, zombies. The game ends when either all humans have been infected or if one still survives.
Quarantine Regen: Quarantine mode with respawn option.
Fireteam: a four-to-eight player game that requires all players to collaborate as a team to complete objective(s).
Capture the Flag: This game mode is self-explanatory. The team that obtains the most opponent flags, or eliminates the opposition, wins.
Bombing Run: Similar to Demolition game modes, where both teams try to plant a explosive charge on a specified target on the opponent's team, while protecting their own from destruction.
One Man Army: The classic free-for-all.
The following weapons appear in the video game Combat Arms:
Rifles
M16A4 Rifle
The M16A4 rifle is the default primary weapon in Combat Arms. It is apparently intended to represent the fully automatic M16A3 rifle.
This rifle is also available in a two-tone sort of finish in which the stock and fore end are some sort of gray and black tigers'-stripe. Since this weapon is the same M16 with a minimally altered skin, it stands as a rather questionable choice of weapon.
M4A1
An M4A1 Carbine is considered the lighter and more versatile M16 in the game. An alternate Black Market/NX variant is the M4A1 Desert Warrior, with a desert tan finish.
M14
An M14 Rifle is used in the game. A battle rifle chambering the 7.62 x 51mm NATO rounds, it could be easily used for a marksman role, and has variants which are still used today. The in-game variant "M14 SE" has a permanent suppressor and a high-powered scope attached, however, during gameplay, when aiming down the sights the scope turns into a red-dot sight.
AK-47
The AK-47 in the game looks like a mix between an old Type III and a newer AKM.
AK-74M
FAMAS-F1
A FAMAS-F1 is available in the game. It has an inaccurate 30 round magazine. Real FAMAS-F1 uses 25 rounds magazine.
Heckler & Koch G36E
One of the G36 family of rifles. the in-game description incorrectly depicted the 5.56 x 45mm as a "large caliber round", which they could mean the 7.62 x 51mmm NATO rounds, which isn't the type of round chambered by this rifle series.
Heckler & Koch G36KE
Steyr AUG-A1
A Steyr AUG is available in the game. Incorrectly states as using the bullpup design to make reloading faster, when in actuality, the bullpup style of rifle is designed to offer a compact weapon with a longer barrel then would normally be available for weapons of its length.
Steyr AUG-A3
An updated version with rails.
FN SCAR-L
FN SCAR-Ls in camo tan and matte black are available in the game. A special NX-based version called the SCAR-L Trispear, features a light-blue finish, with a red scorpion marking.
Note that the fire selector switch is modeled after airsoft replicas of the SCAR (the S is in front of the selector and the A is above on the real steel, see above pictures).
SIG SG-550
The SIG SG-550 is a Swiss-made assault rifle, chambering the Gw Pat 90 and 5.56 x 45mm rounds. it has a few variants which are not listed in-game, with the exception of the SIG SG 556. A "camouflaged" variant is available as "SG550 CAMO".
SIG SG-556
An variant of the 550 family, ulilizing STANAG magazines, and chambers a 5.56 x 45mm NATO round.
AK-103
An AK-103 is available in the game. Like the AK-47, this too looks like a Type III/AKM crossover, only now it is fitted with synthetics and tactical rails.
M4A1 CQBR
The M4A1 CQBR is an shorter version of the common M4A1. This configuration is best suited for close-quarter or close-range engagements. On the in-game image, most of the classic M16/M4 carry handle is chopped off, leaving the rear sight+charging handle. As well, the stock is replaced with a cheek weld stock.
Heckler & Koch HK416
The Heckler & Koch HK416 despite it's many similarities, is not an another variant of which the M16/M4 family comes from. The project was originally an attempt to modify and rennovate the United States aging battle rifles (after the XM8 Rifles were rejected) but eventually evolved into a completely different rifle altogether. In-game, it's called the M416.
AKS-74U
An AKS-74U is available in the game. It is incorrectly listed as "AK-74U".
A golden version is also available.
Daewoo K2
A Daewoo K2 is available in the game.
Daewoo K1A
A Daewoo K1A is available in the game. Although technically an assault rifle, Nexon goes with the South Korean Army's designation of this weapon as a sub-machine gun.
Enfield L85A1
The L85A1 IW, or SA80, is featured in the game as a very powerful rifle issued at a high rank. It often has its own proprietary scope (the SUSAT) mounted on top, and like the "M16A3" from the game, it shares the same factual inaccuracy in that it actually fires in semi/auto modes, but in the game it is burst/auto capable.
IMI Tavor TAR-21
IMI Tavor CTAR-21
Although the game refers it as the MTAR-21 it is in fact a CTAR-21.
Heckler & Koch HK417
The HK417 battle rifle is a bigger sibling of the HK416, firing a 7.62 x 51mm NATO round. In-game, the weapon is featured with a EOTech holographic sight.
LWRC M6A2
LWRC M6A2 SRT
Barrett REC7
The Barrett REC7 is available with a EOTech sight and a different stock.
AN-94
Beretta Cx4 Storm
Modified for fully-automatic fire. For reasons we can not fathom, it's treated as a full-sized assault rifle, despite its pistol-caliber chambering.
Heckler & Koch G3A3
FN F2000
A bullpup rifle designed by FN, it uses the standard 5.56 x4 5mm NATO ammunition. In-game, it comes with a low-powered sight. Variants are also available: F2000 Tactical(with rails and a foregrip), and the FS2000 (civilian semi-auto version).
Machine Guns
M60 machine gun
An M60 machine gun is available in the game. A stainless steel version can be bought from the Black Market. This weapon, relative to other machineguns, possesses average power and average accuracy. An interesting goof is that the ammo belt on the M60 never moves when the weapon is fired, and remains present even when the weapon is empty.
FN Minimi Para
The paratrooper version of the FN Minimi is available in the game. It has an M249-E2 forend but lacks the heat shield. Like most machine guns featured in-game with a box magazine and a belt-fed mechanism, there is no animation that makes it appear to be advancing another round, however, the spent shell casing ejection animation can still be seen.
Daewoo K3
A Daewoo K3 is available in the game. In game it has rate of fire 725 RPM, when real Daewoo K3 fires 900 RPM.
Daewoo K3 SPW
A fictional variant of the Daewoo K3 is available in the game.
It is very similar (at least externally) to the FN Minimi SPW pictured below.
FN Mk 48 Mod 0
An FN Mk 48 Mod 0 is available in the game.
GE M134 Minigun
RPK
RPK-74
The RPK-74 in the game comes erroneously with a drum magazine.
Heckler & Koch MG36K
That MG36 has a smaller handguard anyone else know that? Good point. Shouldn't this be called a G36K that uses drum mags?
Heckler & Koch HK21E
Ultimax 100
IMI Negev
Pistols
Colt M1911A1 MEU
A Colt M1911A1 MEU is available in the game. This is the most powerful semi-automatic handgun (next to the Desert Eagle, of course), but still needs three to four chest shots to kill an enemy. An alternate version of the M1911 pattern pistol is available as M1911 Knight's, with a shiny finish.
Beretta 92FS
A Beretta 92FS pistol is available in black and tutone. One of the default weapons the player will obtain when joining the game for the first time (black).
Beretta 92FS Inox
]]
Glock 23
A Glock 23 pistol is available in black and tutone. These Glocks have 2nd generation features which new Glocks (the 23 included) don't have.
Glock 19/18C combination
A Glock 18C is available in the game, but is shown as a compact pistol. Additionally, it is portrayed in-game as a handgun capable of firing semi automatic or burst fire modes, whereas the real Glock 18 or 18C is only capable of semi/auto modes. Has the same size and features of a Glock 19 but has a selector switch and porting that is exclusive to the Glock 18.
Heckler & Koch USP
A Heckler & Koch USP is available in the game. The weapon has a 10-round capacity. Due to its in-game stopping power, it might be safe to assume that it is chambered in .45 ACP.
Heckler & Koch USP Tactical
A variant of the Heckler & Koch USP in the game, featuring a threaded suppressor, and a non-functional integrated laser module.
Daewoo K5
Also known as the DP51 (K5 is the ROK military designation).
Colt Anaconda "Black"
So many things wrong with this. First off, a Colt Anaconda was only released in stainless steel, and two, the finish on Colts is never "black", it is applied with bluing.
IMI Desert Eagle Mark XIX
A stainless steel Desert Eagle Mark XIX is available in the game, although it is considerably shorter than a real Desert Eagle.
SIG-Sauer P226
A standard black SIG-Sauer P226 and a two tone version can be bought from the Black Market.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A4
A Heckler & Koch MP5A4 is available in the game. Apparantley the fact that the four selective firing modes are in BRIGHT RED on the side of the gun doesn't matter to the game designers, who made it only fire in automatic.
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
A Heckler & Koch MP5A5 with tri-rails and an MP5K-PDW stock is available in the game. Again, the gun's ingame model has four fire modes, but only two usable ingame.
IMI Uzi
Available in the game is an IMI Uzi.
MAC-10
A MAC-10 with a sight rail is available in the game.
Heckler & Koch UMP-45
A Heckler & Koch UMP-45 is available in the game.
FN P90
An FN P90 is available in the game as an accurate and fast firing submachine gun with minimal recoil and high magazine capacity.
FN P90TR
The FN P90TR in the game comes with a suppressor, but it lacks the integral red dot sight included on the standard P90.
Daewoo K7
The permanently suppressed Daewoo K7 is one of the usable submachine guns in the game.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Bizon PP-19
A relatively accurate and powerful weapon given its status as a submachine gun, this weapon can be modified to hold 65+ rounds in one magazine, and thus has earned great popularity as a spray-and-pray gun.
SA Vz.61 Skorpion
An SA Vz.61 Skorpion and a two-tone version is available.
Calico M960
TDI Vector Kriss Super V
TDI Vector CBR/SO
Brugget & Thommet MP9
Colt 9mm SMG
The 9mm SMG is featured under the name "T-2" in-game, with a RIS system, and a modified magazine well to fit the form of 9mm magazines, instead of a 9mm magazine attached to a 5.56mm well.
Sniper Rifles
Remington M24
A Remington M24 is available in the game in both black and "woodland" camo, which is actually urban camouflage (or at least a very poorly done woodland). It is the most accurate of any sniper rifle, but takes heavy compensation in terms of stopping power. It is the least powerful bolt action in the game arsenal.
Accuracy International Arctic Warfare L96A1
An Accuracy International Arctic Warfare L96A1 is available in normal, "ghillie" and "arctic wolf" versions. This is among the most powerful rifles in the game, though it is less accurate than several others.
Knight's Arament SR-25
A Knight's Arament SR-25 is available in the game in black and desert camo. In game it has very slow auto-fire, not semi-auto. Most players prefer it even though it is the weakest sniper rifle because its auto firing and low recoil allows quick follow up shots. A goof is that even though the ingame model and ingame image shows this rifle with a attached suppressor, when used in-game, it is not suppressed. However, the M110 SASS correctly shows, and displays the unsuppressed barrel, even though if the game disallows attachment of suppressors.
Heckler & Koch MSG-90
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
SVD Dragunov
A SVD Dragunov is available in the game.
SVD Dragunov-S Tiger
Barrett M107CQ
Accuracy International AWM
M39 EMR
oddly appears to take a SVD magazine.
Knight's Armament M110
FN Special Police Rifle
DSR-1
Unique Alpine TPG-1
M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle
Shotguns
Mossberg 590
A Mossberg 590 "Compact Cruiser" is available in the game, but lacks many key features of the 590 and is fitted with ghost ring sights and a heat shield.
Remington 870
A Remington 870 with ghost ring sights is available in the game. This weapon is also available in a two-tone format.
Remington 870 CQB
Called a "590 CQB" ingame, the gun clearly is a CQB Remington 870 shotgun. (Nope, it's a Mossberg. Look at the pin arrangement on the receiver, Remington has 2 inline pins, Mossberg has 3 offset pins. However the trigger guard is from an 870)
Franchi SPAS-12
A Franchi SPAS-12 is available with a folding or fixed stock. This weapon technically fires as a fully automatic weapon, since the player can achieve multiple shots with only one pull of the trigger.
Sawed-Off Double Barreled Shotgun
This shotgun costs more than both the Spas-12 and the Remington 870, but has a greater spread than any of the shotguns available. As such, it must be used at practically point blank range to achieve a kill.
A Sawed-Off Double Barreled Shotgun is available in the game.
Saiga 20K
A Saiga 20K shotgun is available in the game, in reality a Semi-auto 20 gauge shotgun.
Benelli M3 Super 90
Benelli M4 Super 90
Note that this weapon's in-game synopsis states that it can fire burst-fire modes. There are no shotguns on the current market with burst-fire modes.
AA-12
The Atchisson AA-12 is featured prominently as the highest capacity of the shotguns in the game.
Explosives
RPG-7
A weapon which is relatively easy to achieve kills with in-game. It is comical that if the player fires this weapon just before he dies, the rocket will disappear mid-air. This happens with all projectiles in-game, with the exception of grenades, but it is more obvious with rockets.
M72 LAW
An M72 LAW is available in the game.
M67 hand grenade
Standard M67 hand grenade is available. In-game, if the character pulls the pin on the grenade and prepares to throw, then gets killed, he does not drop the grenade.
"M69 HE FRAG"
In reality, an M69 is a training grenade version of the M67 hand grenade, but in the game it is a more powerful version.
XM84 Flashbang
apearently this grenade is a standard issue flash-bang in the game. Even though it still has the addoption X before the model #.
M23F Incendiary
M18 Smoke
despite the excelent visual cover and quick expansion of the smoke. Its useless due to "tag shooting" (shooting a player when their name pop up)
G7A Nerve Gas
SA-18 Smoke
Allows the player to mark an area for an air strike.
Milkor M32 MGL
Milkor M32 MGL is used in the game without any Range adjusting optics, which is appropriate given that the grenade travels in an arc similar to that of a rainbow.
