Crime Story (TV Series)
Crime Story was a television crime series co-created by Chuck Adamson and executive produced by Michael Mann. Set during the early 1960's , the series was based on cases that Adamson investigated during his time as a Chicago police detective. Dennis Farina (who also was a Chicago police officer) starred in the series as a Chicago police detective in the Major Crimes Unit who was determined to take down a young ambitious mobster (Anthony Denison). The series aired on NBC and for the first season was set in Chicago and in Las Vegas for the rest of the series.

A nickel plated M1911A1 with pearl grips and notably an elastic band around the grip safety to enable quicker firing is the sidearm carried by Lt. Mike Torello (Dennis Farina).
Colt Detective Special
Sgt. Danny Krychek (Bill Smitrovich) as well as other detectives carry the Colt Detective Special.
Colt Python (Snub)
In addition to his M1911A1, Lt. Torello also carries a snub version of the Colt Python.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
Det. Walter Clemmons (Paul Butler) carried the Smith & Wesson Model 29 as his main sidearm.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Other members of the Chicago Major Crimes Unit carry the Smith & Wesson Model 36.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
A sawed off 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is used by several characters in the series, notably Det. Clemmons.
Ithaca 37
Several models of the Ithaca 37 throughout the series.
Browning Automatic Rifle
The Browning Automatic Rifle is seen used by Sgt. Danny Krychek (Bill Smitrovich).
