Talk:The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
It can't be a S&W Model 10 - it has an enclosed ejector rod. I'd say a Model 19, but I'm not so sure about the rear sights. --Jackbel 00:43, 28 March 2011 (CDT)
- I think both the guns labelled as Model 10 and Model 19 on the main article are the same gun. However, the gun isn't a model 19, as the only 19s that were made with fixed sights like this were 3 inch version for a police order, and the pictured gun is a 4 inch. I believe there are a few other variations of different models that combine a shrouded ejector rod and fixed sight, but I think they are relatively rare and coveted by collectors. --commando552 04:47, 28 March 2011 (CDT)
The trigger guard is not the right shape for S&W. I think it might be an older Taurus or possibly one of the Spanish variations. Later today when I get off from work I'll do some research. Unless somebody beats me to it of course.--Jcordell 08:50, 28 March 2011 (CDT)
