Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is the first television spin-off of the series Law & Order. The series revolves around the cases investigated by the NYPD's Special Victims Unit, who primarily handles those sexually-based offenses.

The following guns were used in the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit:

Glock 19

2nd and 3rd Generation Glock 19s are used by the majority of NYPD detectives in the Special Victims Unit including Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Detective (later Sergeant) John Munch (Richard Belzer), Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T), Detective Brian Cassidy (Dean Winters), and Detective Chester Lake (Adam Beach). Uniformed NYPD Officers and FBI Agents, including Special Agents Dean Porter (Vincent Spano) and Dana Lewis (Marcia Gay Harden) are seen using Glock 19s as well. For some reason every time a Glock is drawn in the show a hammer-cocking sound is made even though Glocks are hammerless.
