Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker
Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker is the 2006 film version of the young adult novel Stormbreaker, the first in the Alex Rider series of teen thrillers by Anthony Horovitz. The hero is Alex Rider, a teenaged British boy who finds out that his uncle was an operative for the British SIS, which recruits him to finish the mission his uncle was killed on.
The following firearms appeared in the film:
Handguns
Beretta 92FS Inox
Contract killer Yassen Gregorovich (Damian Lewis) uses twin Beretta 92FS Inox pistols as his sidearms. He uses these to kill Ian Rider (Ewan McGregor) and also Darrius Sayle (Mickey Rourke) - in both cases, while hanging upside down from a helicopter (N.B. In the graphic novel version, the weapon he uses to kill Sayle is a VSS Vintorez to kill Sayle).
Browning High Power
One of the SAS K-Unit troopers is seen reassembling a Browning Hi-Power in the billet in the Brecon Beacons training camp.
Desert Eagle
Darrius Sayle (Mickey Rourke) tries to kill Alex Rider (Alex Pettyfer) at the end of the film with a Desert Eagle pistol.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
SAS troopers carry Heckler & Koch MP5A2 submachine guns, as do Police Armed Responce units at the end of the film.
Rifles
Heckler & Koch G36C
Sayle's guards at the Stormbreaker computer factory also carry Heckler & Koch G36C carbines.
L85A1
SAS soldiers at the Brecon Beacons training camp carry L85A1 assault rifles.
M4A1 Carbine
Guards at the Stormbreaker computer factory carry M4 assault rifles. The SAS team guarding the Prime Minister at the Science Museum also carries these, and their leader, Wolf (Ashley Walters) tosses his to Alex (Alex Pettyfer), which Alex uses to destroy the button activating the Stormbreakers before the Prime Minister pushes it.
