Nice, but where's the trigger?

The following weapons are used in the anime Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence:

Batou's Sidearm

We see Batou use what looks like an EAA Witness style semi auto during the Yakuza gunfight. Note the thick frame, and prominent ejection port. Also, the barrel is slightly extended and seems to have a tiny sleeve put on that extention. Perhabs, it covers a tap used to attach the silencer...

didnt Batou carry a jericho 941-Doomsayer64? - [panzer] Apparently not. Take a closer look at the muzzle, it certainly refers to Tanfoglio-made copy of CZ-75 a.k.a. EAA Witness. Israeli-made version has that reminiscent 'Desert Eagle' muzzle. I couldn't find any image of Doomsayer 64 though.

This appears in the grocery to look very different, more like a browning BDM with a railed frame. This is hand cell animation, so obviously things like this can vary.

I thought it was a jericho. Is it possibly the Hi-power he carries in the series?Jp 22:36, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Batou's backup

Batou uses this Smith and Wesson auto in the grocery shooting when he thinks he is under attack. looks like a S&W 4013TSW

Batou's shotgun

In the opening sequence of the film, Batou uses a semi-automatic shotgun to stop a homicidal and "suicidal" love doll. He also has the shotgun with him in the final scene. A fragment of the Major, Batou's partner from the first film, uploads into one of the androids on the ship to help him fight the others. General conception of this shotgun apparently comes from italian Franchi SPAS 14 model, however it has a cocking handle on the left side of the receiver, push-button type safety and rounded shroud around its barrel.

How about a Saiga 12?Jp 22:35, 3 January 2010 (UTC) Actually it seems more like the Hawk semi-auto from AOT:the 40th day. [panzer] definately not Saiga - that is based on AK family receiver and has got the same shape and controls. Hawk seems like a good match. However, it still has that cocking handle at the right (Rem 1100 breech-block)

Batou's Rifle

Batou uses IMI Galil ARM 7.62mm heavy assault rifle during the final fight. Again, some features are drawn incorrectly. Note the inclined forward magazine and a shroud above a foregrip is non-existent in the original rifle. The bipod, by some strange occurrence, seems to be attached to the wrong side of the barrel (next to the chamber, instead of the gas offtake). This is based on the 7.62mm Galil sniper or Galatz , which has the bipod next to the chamber.

Integral Cyborg ARMGUN

In the final fight with the dolls, Batou uses a double barrel gun hidden in his forearm.

Later the major refers to his ".30 caliber arm." Is this it?Jp 22:38, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

No. The audio commentary refers to the rifle when talking about .30cal (=7.62mm). His arm shotgun surely has a higher caliber than that. 05:44, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Japanese line:「頼りはバトーの30口径だけよ。」 Rough translation: "I rely only on Batou's 30caliber!" (I.e. it does not mention any arm. 30cal must refer to the rifle) 08:13, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Batou's SAW

Batou, to the dismay of Togusa, uses this SAW to mow down a group of Yakuza thugs.

In the commentary the machine gun is referred to as a "Minimi."

Guns of The Yakuza

During the gunfight in the seafood restaurant, Batou and Togusa go up against a variety of armed thugs with a variety of weapons.
