Does Vin Diesel just have huge hands, or do those 1911s look a little too small? They don't look shorter than a normal 1911 (they aren't Commanders or Officers models), but is it possible they are scaled down 1911s, like Llama pistols or something? - Gunmaster45

Why does Teddy Deserve (John Malkovich) 1911 have a rubberband wrapped around the grip?
It is an old trick, predating rubber grips, to help you keep a good grip when shooting. Dennis Franz did the same thing with his 1911 in "Crime Story". David.
