The following weapons are featured in the film Green Zone:

Green Zone is an upcoming 2010 thriller/war film directed by Paul Greengrass set in post-invasion Baghdad. Starring Matt Damon, Brendan Gleeson, Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan, the plot follows Roy Miller, an American soldier who unravels a conspiracy while searching for weapons of mass destruction. All pictures are from the domestic full-length trailer.

Green Zone (2010)


Beretta 92FS

An 'asset' working for the Americans uses a Beretta 92FS pistol while hunting down General Al-Rawi (Yigal Naor). Later, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) is threatened with a Beretta after he is abducted by Al-Rawi's men. Freddy (Khalid Abdalla) also uses a Beretta towards the end of the film. Roy also uses it as his sidearm but never fired it in the movie.

Glock 17

Members of Miller's MET-D unit appear to use Glock 17 pistols as their sidearms. Some Green Zone security guards also have Glocks in their holsters, while Major Briggs (Jason Isaacs) has a Glock holstered on his tactical vest.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Major Briggs (Jason Isaacs), an American Special Forces officer, uses a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with RIS handguard, Surefire weaponlight and an ACOG scope as his primary weapon.

Heckler & Koch MP5A2s are used by the private military contractors guarding Iraqi and American officials.

Norinco Type 56-1

Norinco Type 56-1 rifles, distinguished by their hooded sights and handguards, are used by most of the Iraqi gunmen. Roy Miller takes one from his captors and uses it when he attempts to track down General Al-Rawi during a battle between Iraqi insurgents and American special forces soldiers.

M4A1 Carbine

Miller and some of his men use M4A1 carbines with a variety of different sights and attachments. Miller's M4A1 is fitted with an ACOG sight and a flashlight.

M16A2

M16A2 rifles are used by various American soldiers throughout the film. Wilkins (Jerry Della Salla) uses a M16A2 with an Aimpoint red dot optic mounted on the carry handle.

Colt Model 727

Most of the Special Forces soldiers are armed with Colt Model 727 carbines, distinguishable by the A2-style upper receiver with fixed carry handle. They are fitted with M68 Aimpoint red dot scopes on the carry handle, and Surefire Universal weaponlights.

M249 SAW

American soldiers are armed with the M249 SAW, using it to suppress enemy fire while they search WMD sites.

Unknown hand grenade

When the special forces team attack the insurgent stronghold to free Miller, a terrorist drops a hand grenade on them. Since it is dark and barley seen, it is doubtfull if it will ever be identified.

RPG-7

Iraqi insurgents use a RPG-7 to shoot down an American Blackhawk during a gunbattle between them and American Special Forces.
