Phantom of Inferno is a visual novel game created by Nitroplus, and distributed by Hirameki International. It came out in Japan in 2000, and then was distributed in America as an AnimePlay title in 2003.

It has been adapted to a short 3 part OVA anime series by Earth Create/KSS in 2004.

In 2009, Nitroplus and Kadokawa Shoten adapted the story into a full-length 26-episode TV anime, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, produced by Bee Train.
