Same as Japanese Type 100?
The Sterling Mark 6 looks almost identical to the Type 100 (which fired 7.62mm ammo) smg used by Imperial Japanese Forces during WW2, right down to the vented, air-cooled barrel and the 30-round, curving, side-fed magazine. One writer notes that this weapon was not very reliable, or accurate, especially compared to the Thompson smg (which fired .45 ACP) used by American forces during the Pacific War.
Makes me wonder if this is not, in fact, the same Japanese weapon?
