The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006)

The following guns were used in this film:

Lee Enfield SMLE No. 1 Mk. III

The standard infantry rifle of the British troops, Black & Tans, Auxiliaries and later the Free State's National Army. It is also the most commonly used rifle by the IRA.

Revolvers

At least two kinds of Webley & Scott models are used; Mk I or Mk IV and Mk VI. Also featured are Smith & Wesson and Colt New Service File:Http://blogs.timesunion.com/movies/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/barley shooting.jpg Featured here are (l to r) S&W N-frame, Colt New Service, Webley Mk IV File:Http://z.about.com/d/worldfilm/1/0/1/t/WSBMASTER116.jpg Teddy seen here with the Webley Mk VI, notice the flat bottom of the grip and the long barrel

Mauser C96 Broomhandle

The Broomhandle Mauser can be seen in several scenes used by IRA members

Browning 1910

An IRA member can be seen with a Browning 1910 during the pub scene, though it is never fired.

Vickers Gun

Seen mounted on a truck driven by Auxiliaries.

Lewis Gun

Carried by the IRA flying column in their ambush of Auxiliaries.

Mauser Gewehr 98

A common misconception is that the rifles landed in Howth for the Irish Volunteers in 1913 were the Mauser Gewahr 98. It was in fact the long obsolete Mauser 1871 single shot bolt-action rifle. However the Gewhar 98 (or G98) is featured most prominently in the hands of Teddy Boy.

Mauser Kar 98a

Damien (Cillian Murphy) carries a Mauser Kar 98a throughout the film.

Mauser Kar 98 K

A Mauser Kar 98K is seen in several scenes in the film - an anachronism as the 98K was not introduced until 1935, and the film is set in 1920-1922. The armorer likely ran out of First World War Mausers.
