Trivia

Another film, based on the same novel "The World In My Pocket" by James Hadley Chase, is Mirage. Greg-Z (talk) 03:11, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Guns

I think that the first pistol looks more like a FN Model 1910. It has straight slide serration unlike Walther Model 8 and seems to be larger, more fitting .32 caliber than a .25. The sniper rifle seems to be some version of M1 Carbine. Greg-Z (talk) 04:04, 17 February 2014 (EST) Thx, Greg! And second pistol?--Pandolfini (talk) 04:36, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Maybe some Spanish "Eibar pistol", like Star Ruby Pistol or one of its numerous clones. Greg-Z (talk) 04:51, 17 February 2014 (EST) Super!--Pandolfini (talk) 05:16, 17 February 2014 (EST) Really M1 Carbine?--Pandolfini (talk) 05:36, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Looks like my guess was wrong, and this is not an M1, sorry. Greg-Z (talk) 05:52, 17 February 2014 (EST)
How about the sniper rifle is a Marlin Model 995? The way the magazine sticks out from the bottom is very similar, PeeWee055 (talk) 11:24, 28 February 2014 (EST)
Model 995 appeared in 1979 while the movie was filmed in 1961. But it can be some other Marlin model, a predecessor of Model 995. Greg-Z (talk) 11:38, 28 February 2014 (EST)
