The Badlanders is a 1958 Western movie directed by Delmer Daves and starring Alan Ladd and Ernest Borgnine. The movie is loosely based on the 1949 novel "The Asphalt Jungle" by W. R. Burnett (earlier adapted into The Asphalt Jungle film noir (1950)), but the story is set in 1898 in Arizona. Peter Van Hoek ("Dutchman") (Ladd) and John "Mac" McBain (Borgnine) are released from prison and head separately to the town of Prescott. Dutchman, former mining engineer, was framed for the robbery of a gold shipment and wants to cleanse his name.

Peter Van Hoek known as "The Dutchman" (Alan Ladd), John "Mac" McBain (Ernest Borgnine), Sheriff Deputy Leslie (Adam Williams), Sample's henchmen Comanche (Anthony Caruso), Lee (John Daheim) and Jeff (stunt performer Paul Baxley), and prison guards carry Single Action Army revolvers of "Civilian" model.

Rifles

Marlin Model 1889

Marlin Model 1889 rifles are used by local landowner Cyril Lounsberry (Kent Smith), his trusted man saloon owner Sample (Robert Emhardt) and Sample's henchman Comanche (Anthony Caruso). Marlin 1889 rifles are also seen in the gun rack in the office of Yuma Prison Warden (Ford Rainey). Promotional images show Dutchman and Mac with Marlin 1889 rifles though they doesn't use these guns on screen.
