The Hidden is a 1987 science fiction thriller that stars Michael Nouri as Tom Beck, an LAPD detective investigating a series of robberies and murders perpetrated by seemingly innocent law-abiding citizens. Kyle Maclachlan co-stars as Lloyd Gallagher, an FBI agent who also is investigating the murders and who knows the true nature of the killer they are tracking.
The following weapons were used in the film The Hidden:
What appears to be a Steyr GB with under-barrel weaponlight attachment is seen in the arms dealer's firearms cache. This appears identical to another such pistol used in They Live.
Lieutenant Ed Flynn (Clu Gulager) draws his Smith & Wesson Model 36 snub when Gallagher crashes the press conference. Senator Holt (John McCann) takes it from him and fires it at Gallagher.
The snub version of the Colt Python is seen being fired by a member of the security detail that's protecting the Senator. One of the LAPD officers draws a 4-inch barreled Colt Python on Gallagher after he uses the flamethrower.
Lt. John Masterson (Clarence Felder) takes a Sterling Mark 6 from the police impound and uses it to threaten Beck. He then fires it at Beck and Gallagher in the police lockup.
The Mossberg 500 Bullpup shotgun is the one of the weapons wielded by the alien when it takes over the body of Brenda Lee Van Buren (Claudia Christian). It is seen fired at the LAPD officers that try to make a traffic stop on Brenda. It is also seen fired at Beck and Gallagher when they're in the mannequin warehouse.
DeVries (Chris Mulkey) uses a Winchester Model 1200 outfitted with a 1200 Synthetic Riot Fore grip and the Winchester Pistol grip when robbing the Wells Fargo bank. The giveaways are the ejector shape and the diagonal shape of receiver back end.
The Austrian bullpup assault rifle, the Steyr AUG is the one of the weapons wielded by the alien when it takes over the body of Brenda Lee Van Buren (Claudia Christian). It is seen fired at Beck and Gallagher when they're on the roof of the mannequin warehouse.

Note that the boxes say "Steyr AUG SA" which was the Semiautomatic model that was sold over the counter during the 1980s before ATF banned their import. Thus these 'out of the box' AUGs would not fire full-auto.Error creating thumbnail: File missingBrenda Lee Van Buren (Claudia Christian) fires the Austrian Steyr AUG. Again she never blinks nor flinches when firing.
MGC replica M16
Several replica MGC M16's are seen in the weapons cache at the antiques store. A few S.W.A.T. members are seen with them at the mannequin shop aftermath. Since they are never seen firing, it's assumed they are replicas.
Lt. John Masterson (Clarence Felder) takes a M72 LAW from the police impound and tries to blast Beck in the jail cell. He's hit in the head with a 9mm round, which turns him to blow up a wall instead.
When the alien is in the body of Jonathan Miller (William Boyett), he finds that a cache of weapons owned by the arms dealer he killed.
