The big gun

The multi-barreled Gatling-type gun used by the bank robbers is not a Vulcan. The receiver design doesn't seem anything like that of an M61, and the weapon clearly has eight barrels instead of six (the number on the M61). I remember reading an article on this movie's special effects in Cinefex back in '06 where one of the CGI artists mentioned that the gun's muzzle flash was computer-generated. Another hint is that the shell casings dropped by the weapon appear to be empty .50 BMG shells with NO crimping (as one would expect to see if the weapon were a real gun firing blanks). It looks to me like the weapon is completely fabricated and doesn't actually fire (live rounds or blanks), but was simply designed to drop the .50-cal shell casings on cue, while the muzzle flash is CGI. -MT2008 23:39, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

The M1911 looks exactly like my High Standard-76.31.5.208 00:25, 24 June 2009 (UTC) (S&Wshooter)

When the cop pulls out the barret m82 this seems very unlikely because first, if the cop was a sniper he would be in an suv because the m82 would be to long to fit in a car. Second, the gun would probably be to heavy to get a good shot off and if he did get a shot off there is a good chance the cop would fall over due the recoil. Finally, a lot of agencies would most likely use a remington 700 or something along the lines of that.
