The QSZ-92 is a Chinese pistol, and the current service pistol of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Though commonly claimed as being designed and manufactured by Norinco Group, Chinese government-affiliated media have primarily indicated that the weapon is designed by the No. 208 Research Institute, a subsidiary of the China South Industries Group (CSGC), and was primarily manufactured by CSGC subsidiaries.

An export version of the QSZ-92, the NP42, is branded as a product of the Norinco export company, who are not to be confused with the Norinco Group.
